It's headed up by VP Pence. Actions set in motion by the Trump Administration - e.g. production of PPE and ventilators, development and testing of treatments and vaccines - have been progressing and coming to fruition for several months. Ignoring vaccines developed in China - for reasons that should be grossly obvious - there are, IIRC, at least two vaccines in Phase III testing, the phase just before being authorized for production, and a few more that are in Phase II. All of which have had Federal $$ invested and cooperation via "Operation Warpspeed". What should have DUpipo worried is that the vaccine that is farthest into Phase III is the Oxford University // AstraZeneca vaccine, which could be ready for release in September or October, for which the Feds have a contract for 300M doses. For DUpipo, that is a looming "October Surprise" that threatens a huge part of their anti-Trump narrative.
