That was unheard of before Bush invaded and occupied their country with Shock and Awe and did that Abu Ghraib number on them and their friends and family.

I bet there is a connection there.

Wonder if we can torture and kill enough of them to ever make them like us?

All of the damage done in suicide attacks could be easily accomplished without death of the individuals who execute them.

imagine if the U.S. had used all it's bombs and military might and had nothing left to defend this country and say the Chinese invaded and occupied our country. You've lost members of your family and friends, and there are scores of people maimed. Now you are living in the most deplorable conditions, while the Chinese are building communities of their own called 'bases' with running water, electricity, sewage plants, recreation centers etc.,all the things you used to have but no longer do. Now say the Chinese put a political party in power, but that party does nothing but make life easier for the Chinese. So you have no job, no future, no more country, and it's been five years with no end in sight. Who do you target? The Chinese are safe in their community bases, plus they have all the bombs. There is nothing you can do to them. Do you just lay down and die? Wait another 5 years? Or do you go after your government, the people that are in power, that are allowing this to happen. I wonder if we will be in the same position some day, and what it is we will do.

Last I heard it wasn't the Iraqis doing this as much as the foreign fighters from other countries. The Iraqis are turning in the homicide bombers because they are tired of getting killed by them no matter who's wearing the vest
