Another One. Trump will announce soon, that he is not running for re-election. He may resign soon

Why?...If Trump does not run, then, he gets out without having to defend himself over and over.with "Oh, we did a great job in fighting the virus." .. That is such a lie, that it could destroy Trump's chances of making money and appearing on talk shows...

....Defending his behavior and what he has said, will make him look even stupider than he now looks. (Hard to believe?) ..But, I believe Trump will avoid all of that, and become a very quiet person ...like Nixon was after his resignation...That is even harder to believe. But it will save some of his reputation..(some, among those that still respect him).

...Note: we are not talking about a break in and a cover up. We are talking about tens of thousands of deaths due to failure to adequately warn about something.,,which is the President's job. By not running or resigning, Trump almost allows for some criticism of his tenure, which in some areas might...(I said might)... save the Republican Party's existence) As this is written in Creative Speculation, I believe that some advisors & party professionals are now trying to get him to announce that he will not run for re-election in order the name of the Republican Party.
....Trump cannot win. His behavior is not defensible.

...Will this happen? Unlikely...but that is why they named it, "Creative Speculation"

2. If he could cut a deal for immunity from prosecution, he would certainly not run

Once he realizes that he can’t win and that Bill Barr cannot protect him out of office, I am sure that he could be convinced not to run if he could cut a deal that allows him his wealth, status and stay out of prison.

4. ...Yes, that deal could be the key. & 4 words, "Stay out of prison" maybe add a few more:

" no trial of any kind."
... But Trump cannot prevent "law suits." Law suits will never end.

3. Maybe a health crisis or a behind-the-scenes deal could possibly provoke

him to stand down for re-election. He'll have narcissistic fantasies about how fabulous his life will be after the White House, all the deals he'll make all over the world, but his prospects are poor and his health could decline. He won't be off the hook for many of the things he's done, even though he thinks he will get away from it all.

I don't believe he can physically or mentally sustain the level of anger, anxiety, self-pity, insomnia and (this is creative speculation) drug abuse he requires to maintain his whole "game" for another four years. There's a cost to all of that.

Your speculation is appreciated.

8. You keep thinking something will happen

that will make him go away before the election. No. Unless the virus or some other ailment gets him, it won't. He won't resign; he won't be impeached; the GOP will still support him and the MAGAts will adore him. Only the election or the Grim Reaper will get rid of him. Give it up.

OooooooKaaaaaayyyy

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

How many DU-threads in 2015, 2016, and 2017 were about how Trump was not serious and would drop out or refuse to serve or would resign? And now their carousel has come around and they're all grasping for this squishy brown odoriferous ring again. ::)  :loser:  ::)  :loser:  ::)

They are still reaching for any sign that Pres. Trump isn't going to be around for another 4 years.  Plus they should look who their candidate is going to be.  Oh Slo Joe is a real barn burner when it comes to public speaking.

Why would President Trump resign or drop out of the 2020 race when he is winning?
Biden is an illegitimate President.  Change my mind.
