Off-Duty Cop Kills Man During Traffic Altercation In Corona
Advertisements [?]CORONA, Calif. -- The Hummer-driving, off-duty Los Angeles police officer who fatally shot another motorist in an apparent case of road rage in Corona was identified Tuesday as a two-year officer with the LAPD's Office of Operations.

Los Angeles police would not release the name of the officer, whose roughly year-old child was in the back seat of the H2 Hummer when the shooting occurred. The officer was questioned at the scene, but apparently was not detained or booked on suspicion of a crime.

The name of the dead man was unavailable early Tuesday, and an autopsy was pending.

Riverside County sheriff's Investigator Jerry Franchville said the officer and the driver of a gray Toyota Tundra got into a beef on northbound Interstate 15 near Indian Truck Trail about 3:45 p.m. Monday. The Tundra may have struck the officer's Hummer, he said.

Surely it will take hundreds of posts before BDS rears up and blames the Prez for this... Right?

and the officer "was not detained or booked on suspiciosn of a crime".

Pardon me while I pick my jaw off the floor.

What the heck is up with all this outrageous police brutality that is sweeping the country.
Is this something that Homeland Security is stirring up amoung local police forces? It sure is damn scarey.
Does chubby Ava have a stalker?!

13. Quick question:
How does a cop legally afford a Hummer?

18. All officer involved shootings should require FBI investigations.
Any time an officer kills a civilian, especially when the officer is off duty, the FBI and Justice should investigate. We know that police will never investigate one of their own fully in these kind of shootings. The fact that they let the officer walk is a good indication of that. It appears he lost his temper and killed an unarmed man. That's manslaughter, at a miminum. Because he's a police officer, it's probably a higher level of murder, since he has a duty higher than most citizens.

19. Darn shame the victim wasn't packing and he could have shot the cop first.
And I'm sure he wouldn't have been detained either.

Just shot dead when "back-up" arrived.

Sounds to me like a 'GREENY' saw a Hummer and went bezerk. Deadly force is usually required to bring them under control when that happens.

I do believe there's more to it than a simple 'roadrage' case.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
