Ruh roh... McC up 2 in Gallop Daily Tracking poll
« on: August 26, 2008, 01:41:41 PM »
http://www.gallup.com/poll/109834/Gallup-Daily-Bounce-Obama-Post-Biden-Tracking.aspx

46-44 McCain.
Guess Biden wasn't seen as a good thing.  This is the first totally post-Biden one.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

This is anti-gravity, even though Gallup tries to poo-poo it:

The headline:

Quote
Gallup Daily: No Bounce for Obama in Post-Biden Tracking

then:

Quote
McCain creeps ahead, 46% to 44%

If it had been written with bias toward the right it'd be:

Obama Campaign in Freefall after VP Blunder: McCain Surges Ahead

There just going to have to get used to it, it's a no sell, and Michelle Obama playing patriot isn't going to be enough.

I am well aware of the fact that polls are a flawed means of measuring the mind of the electorate, but I don't think there
is any avoiding the conclusion that the totality of these polls would seem to indicate a slightly downward trend for
The BarackStar!

Its because Obama has decided to take the Moonbat vote for granted. He started off swinging hard left and got all these kids energized to go to the polls and caucus for him, which got him the nomination. Then he starts acting as a 'centrist' (according to the moonbat fringe) and loses some cheering, but not enough to lose their votes. Then He names Biden who according to DU is a Bush apologist warmongering PNACer DINO who is about a half a step above Lieberman on the Liberal Value scale.

No matter how hard the DUmmies are playing it, the liberal base is not happy at all. They wanted Gore.. They Wanted Kooky.. Instead they got an also-ran(multiple times) career do-nothing politician who doesn't even put a valuable state into play for them.

one step after another away form what made him the celebrity they all loved.  its no wonder he's collapsing especially since they were all hopeing against hope that it would be different this time.  they really were expecting change they could believe in but got the same old same old.

I still want to photoshop "Change We Are Deceived In" on obama bumper stickers and sell 'em at the republican convention.

I think McCain is up much higher than this 2% margin. Old Joe did not give the Magic Negro a bump and in the long run I think it will hurt the ticket. Two left wing lawyers are not going to sway too many independent voter. Biden's attack dog mode might come back to bite Obama in the ass also. I look for a 6 to 7% win for McCain; he will pick up one or two northeastern states and the party will be over for the Dummiecraps.

that's reasonable, since The BarackStar! consistently got higher opinion poll numbers than actual votes in the primaries.

That's right, Obama has always polled better than the final results. He's down by three from yesterday here:

http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

Scotty has been off roughly five points of Obama all year, McCain is probably already 7 % higher. The northeastern states: PA, NH, NJ spring to mind.

Dennis Miller said it best  " you gotta love the wisdom of the democratic party...they had a woman candidate that would have gave them the win, instead they chose to turn their back on 18 million votes"

I agree...you gotta love the democratic "wisdom" :sarcasm:

Too much personal animosity if not between Barry and Hillary then definitely between Michelle and Hillary.

Could you trust Hillary to be your VP in that sort of environment where she would have unrestricted media access and be able to constanty second-guess your policies while framng her own efforts as, "well, naturally I took the lead on this as president Obama chose me to be the more experienced side of the ticket."

Barry was damned no matter which way he went. He could get someone experienced, in which case the argument becomes, "so why didn't they vote for the VP instead" or he can get someone not more experienced and look all the more weak.

He chose a middle road: lots of experience but not likely to steal his thunder. But that meant picking experience that has already been neutered. Biden is a loser, one of the first to be forced from the primaries. Edwards would have been a good choice--probably far better--his only pre-Rielle weakest being the loss in 2004 and all the pretty-boy jokes an Obama-Edwards ticket would generate but there are worse subjects for the late-night talk shows.

Barry's inexperience doomed him before he began. Maybe if he could have maintained the facade of brilliance and ingenuity he could have bluffed his way past it but he's definitely shown himself to be a promiser of much without specifics who can't really speak very well unless tightly scripted and who is dogged by radical, racist and criminal friends. Of course if Barry WERE experienced he would have planned ahead.
