Um, not really. I've always considered Jimmy Carter the father of Iranian terrorism. Yeah, the shah was a bad dude, but he was our bad dude. Jimmy left him swinging in the wind, and what the wind blew in was about 100 times worse.

Carter, Bush, and Obama are no longer Presidents. They have as much governmental authority as I do, a vote and the ability to contribute to political causes. Even OhBummer! might understand that.

A suggestion for how it should read:

"Dear President Trump,

Thank you for showing the resolve and conviction that we lacked, on the issue of Iran's sponsorship of terrorism, as well as immigration and other issues, in the face of the lunatics who fancy themselves some sort of resistance."
