My daughters "Reborn Raincoat" series.....Pic heavy.
« on: August 25, 2008, 02:44:50 PM »
I didn't want to take the time to resize them so sorry all of you people on dial up and with slow connections.

My daughter was bored saturday night so she asked to go to Michael's and get some water color paper and paint.  This is what she has been up to for the past two days.

She calls it her "Reborn Raincoat" series.  They are anime characters that she put a different raincoat on.  I thought they were all girls but apparently only one of them is a girl.  Anime male characters sure are effeminate.  While I don't get the anime "thing", apparently my daughter loves it.

Your entire family is very talented with artistic endeavors BEG. you should be very proud of how that natural talent is expressed...not only in your quilts, but in your hubby's activities, your son's, and now your daughter's too. Really terrific!  :cheersmate:

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Your whole family is overflowing with artistic ability.  They look great.

I wish I had even a little bit of artistic talent.

I don't think you realize (but you might) the sophistication of the indicia -- it is edgy an retro at the same time.

The images have an edginess (please forgive the redundancy) but also an innocence to them.  The sophistication of the entire series is astounding.

It is worth the investment.

You probably do, but, like me, haven't really taken the time to develop it.  I have a book about learning to draw, too, that I bought a while ago, but never got around to really getting into.

Wow, that one's pretty good.  Better than some of the other "art" I've seen.  Not that I pay much attention to anime.

Great pictures!
