Neighbors
Advertisements [?]Pleasant company, pleasant talk about the food and all the weddings past and future. Then the talk turned to the presidential candidates.

“They’ll shoot us in the back if they get one of theirs as president!” Why? If a group is hurt, that’s when –if ever- they might start shooting, not when that group can feel finally more a part of American society instead of resented outsiders.

“But they’ll get full of themselves and take over!” If they’re not kept in their place, you mean?

“Yes, because they’re so aggressive, and whites are so passive!” Like you? When whites fear they may be losing mastery of America to Mexicans, orientals, blacks, they get agitated and aggressive. Blacks might now see a glimmer of hope for a more wholesome inclusion in American society, and hope is not violent. Fear is violent, fear of not being masters any longer, fear of being “just folk” like everybody else in a society where not all faces are white any longer. Being an equal in a mixed society for some reason terrifies whites to violence. You’re transferring your desire to start shooting onto the people you want to shoot.

“They all have guns, and would just as soon shoot you as look at you!” So why aren’t they shooting you now?” Why would they start shooting after they feel more invested in society?

“I don’t know; because they’re irrational!” Who’s being irrational?

…And so on. These are our inlaws and neighbors and church members talking here, people we love but we can’t understand. If it weren’t for them, Obama would be leading McCain by a hefty margin.

Good God. I am out of comments. Between the keys and the bouncies, that place has outdone itself today.

We had negative 25 on the gas station bouncy, negative 30 on the elderly neighbors bouncy for a total of -55. I'll give this minus-35 to bring it up(down?) to -90.

Unfrickin believable.  How on earth do they think ANYONE will take them seriously.  Most of these folks need head shrinkers BADLY.

I've decide that a Little Goon Bouncy is the cousin of dead people voting.  A Bouncy may be fiction and dishonest, but dammit, it stands in for someones reality that cannot speak for himself.

Th DUchebags are going to go of the far end as the anointed one falls further and further behind.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Incredibly pathetic. They seem determined to prove franksolich correct in his observation re the declining quality of the DUmmy herd. Remember the good old days, when the original Bouncy Balls could manage to get all the essential elements ("so,", bushes, cops, conversions) into the story, or when Will Pitt, despite a blood alcohol content approaching 0.400, could quote every word of a longwinded imaginary political discussion with the bouncer at a bar? These were liars of substance. Now we're left with liars who represent only the lazy, ignorant flotsam and jetsam of society. The absolute dregs.

Living in a make believe world appears to be their latest self defense mechanism to stave off the slow motion avalanche of what remains of their sanity.

This election will do them in.

As a public service Skinner should announce that no more bouncies until after the election.  This recent crop has taken them from mildly stupid to borderline brain dead. :thatsright:

I disagree.  Any more evidence that Dems are unhinged is good.

Snore. Wake me up when they attempt to get creative.
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
