Why is Biden in the lead?
I hear it's because he's viewed as the safest bet to beat Trump. He has the gravitas of having served as President Obama's VP. He's got decades and decades of experience.

But he has never been a great -- or even a good -- retail politician, as many times as he's tried, and now he is far, far worse. Set aside the long history that the RNC would love to turn into juicy campaign ads and smears, this is simply NOT our best candidate, by any measure.

Can we just admit that many of his answers were virtually incoherent?? (Radios and record players, as just one example?) I know what he was trying to say, but he is not able to say it.

Debates should matter. This is our party's time to decide. (Or, our party in the three early states -- the rest seem to follow suit.) My state is late, but I support candidates in the process.

In my undecided opinion, three of tonight's ten are now X'd out: Biden, Bernie, and Yang.

I have some favorites among the other seven -- I get emails and contribute to three -- but actually I'd be very excited to support and campaign for any one of them.

I just don't get why Biden is on the top of any list except the "ruled out" list. He's a great guy, and was a fine VP; this is just my personal opinion of his candidacy for potus. It astonishes me, seeing his performance tonight, that all the criticism and commentary is about the people who may have gone against him.

9. Just like after every debate

knives are out for Biden to spin him as a loser.

Fortunately, the knives are blunt and fragile -- more likely to harm the one who wields them than the target.

4. Biden has empathy ... like Obama and Clinton before him

Biden is authentic. Biden is a decent human being. One can trust Biden to always do the right thing.

Those qualities are all one needs.

Beto has the very same qualities sans the experience.

Joe is in front because of people feeling he is a safe pick to beat Trump. It's like taking out my old Jethro Tull album "Living in the Past". I want a bolder and fairer vision of America. That's why I support Warren.

Then they look at Biden and see a 70 year old experienced gentle soul (as we all aspire to).
The contrast couldn't be greater.

I can understand if you think he is a non-starter but what happened in the debate that makes you think he tanked himself?

Come on, now... The DNC is NOT gonna let Crazy Uncle Bernie be the DEM candidate.

I think Bernie's shuffling off into the sunset, no longer having the draw he once had.

How transient, the loyalties of Democrats and primitives.

But of course loyalty was never a characteristic of those supporting Bernie.

WTF is an "undecided opinion"?  That makes ZERO sense.

Biden is leading because he's hanging onto the remaining coattails of Obama. This endears him to black voters and the portion of the "white guilt" dems who consider that to be their main issue. That's a fairly sizable group within the party structure. It's a hope for "Obama part 3", I'm convinced at this point. Minus any clear objections other than "we're against Trump", a desire to roll everything back to how good they felt during the Obama years is what they have. It's all about their feelings and identity politics.

I'll tell you.

Even though the paste eating window licker can't remember what day it is, he is the least insane, even with his tenuous grip on reality, of all of the fascists the democrat party has put up for president.

It is sad but true.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

What is this about now?

Biden was asked something about reparations to slaves and he said something along the lines of "Turn on theradio at night and turn on the record player... these kids hear less words than white people...

 :???:

I propose that what we take is those very poor schools, the Title I schools, triple the amount of money we spend from 15 to $45 billion a year.  Give every single teacher a raise, the equal raise to getting out ― the $60,000 level.

Number two, make sure that we bring in to help the teachers deal with the problems that come from home. The problems that come from home, we need ― we have one school psychologist for every 1,500 kids in America today. It’s crazy.

The teachers are ― I’m married to a teacher. My deceased wife is a teacher. They have every problem coming to them. We have ― make sure that every single child does, in fact, have 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds go to school. School. Not day care. School.

We bring social workers in to homes and parents to help them deal with how to raise their children. It’s not want they don’t want to help. They don’t ― they don’t know quite what to do.

Play the radio, make sure the television ― excuse me, make sure you have the record player on at night, the ― the ― make sure that kids hear words.  A kid coming from a very poor school ― a very poor background will hear 4 million words fewer spoken by the time they get there.

Clearly it is typically racist, misogynistic and homophobic of the Democrat party to favor old whitey over women, men and women of color, a gay man, and a fake Hispanic.  Ralphie expects nothing less from the real party of racists and misogynists.
