Asshat has already been found guilty. Judge needs to find the most raggedy-assed "technicality" excuse he can come up with to declare a mistrial, and apologize profusely for allowing such an egregious violation of Mr. Duncan's rights as an upstanding citizen. Over a live telecast.
He then needs to remand Mr. Duncan over to the sheriff's department for processing his immediate release. Over a live telecast.
It should take 5-6 hours for Mr. Duncan's release to be "processed", again with the sheriff apologizing profusely for any and all harsh treatment he has endured during his incarceration. As he escorts Mr. Duncan - the newly re-made "free man" - personally, to the front door of the county sheriff's office/county detention center. Out the front door, and then locks the door behind him.
Justice might possibly be served if this were to happen.
