Every single time the GOP tries to pull this "it's all political" crap, we need to scream "Merrick Garland!"

I heard Press Secretary Sanders say that the Democrats are trying to thwart the will of the people when it comes to a president's job of picking a Supreme Court Justice.

"Merrick Garland!"

Scalia died on Obama's watch. Obama made an appointment. The Senate GOP played politics.

Even when Kavanaugh was appointed, the White House withheld documents... politics.

I brought this over because I have a few things to say about Merrick Garland.

First, and most important, no one tried to personally destroy Merrick Garland, his family, his current employment, or threaten prison. Or worse. All of which has happened to Judge Kavanaugh.

Second, the Senate's Constitutional duty regarding the Supreme Court is "advise and consent." When Mitch McConnell turned down Merrick Garland, I sincerely hope he "advised" Snarky McDouchebag to read the Constitution. It says nothing about 'a pen and a phone.' Our government has three co-equal branches. The voters, the American people, took the legislative branch away from him and his co-conspirators, to stop his unconstitutional actions and his Marxist agenda. The American people, as evidenced by the 2014 election results didn't want him to have a third Supreme Court justice. They were simply honoring our wishes. "And if you don't like it, you can shove your pen and your phone up your butt, sideways, Asshole!"

Invoking Merrick Garland is a smokescreen. Garland is still Chief Circuit Judge for the DC Circuit judge. Had the Senate bought Ford's (and other accusers' lies), the next step would have been removing Kavanaugh from his position as judge on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, and then after that getting Kavanaugh disbarred. Ford, et al, was a total destruction attempt, not just a means to blocking a Trump USSC nomination.

IF Trump makes another nomination to the USSC, this illustrates the kind of full-court-press the Ds will attempt - different pretexts, perhaps, but similar tactics.

I tend to think that RBG will be dead by Christmas of 2019.  Judge Amy Coney Barrett will face a firestorm that will make Justice Kavanaugh say, “I’m glad they didn’t get THAT low with me,” it will be that bad.  The Left will come HARD at Judge Barrett’s Catholic faith.  She and her husband have five children of her own, and they adopted two children from Haiti (and went through the proper channels to do it) for a total of seven children.  She reads to them before bedtime every night.  Yet, the Dems will try to destroy her.
