Isn't there a movie with a scene like that in it?  Maybe sci-fi?  Everyone sitting around waiting for something and there goes a pebble, meh.  Then a few more...bah.  Next thing you know the whole slope is sliding and the people with it.

In Search of the Castaways with Haley Mills?  I do remember it had an avalanche scene in the Andes mountains, the people rode down the side of the mountain on boulders or some such.

Posting this story on DU might get some interesting responses.

Internet reality being what it is, it's probably impossible to gauge the scope of the #WalkAway movement or its effects. That said, I hope the D Party writes it off and ignores it. I kind of doubt they're that stupid. To whatever degree #WalkAway is real, this incident will validate to real WalkAways what they have decided to do.

The way things are trending, I'm not worried about them catching on and trying to do something about the hemorrhage of supporters--I'd prefer them to be aware of what's happening to them.  If in addition to being stupid, they start acting out of desperation too, they are just going to make things even worse for themselves.
