Well, I think the DUmp is going to be confused by the outcome of all this. First, no matter how desperately they try to make it so, it has nothing whatsoever to do with Trump. Second, I think the fact that the show did so well was a wake up call to the networks that they can't program just for the libs. There is a YUGE market potential out there for shows about people with conservative views and values.

Expect a few new shows this fall with the same political/cultural slant as Roseanne's show.

Well, whatever.  Roseanne isn't confusing me, because I never paid any attention to her.  If she's been helpful to President Trump, I'm of course appreciative, but really, I never paid attention to her, oftentimes confusing her with Rosie O'Donnell or the "kittywampus" primitive.

Actually, ABC really stepped in it in their statement cancelling the show, IMO.  They said that her statement was "inconsistent with our values".  By doing that, they are saying that the hate that spews from Joy Behar's and Keith Olbermann's gob daily IS consistent with their values, and they are approving of it.  Sounds like a wedge that can be used for boycotts from the right, and we actually have money...

Who's confused? The only thing that "confuses" me is that ABC knew what kind of fruitcake idiot Roseanne is and yet hoped they could get a couple of seasons of shows before she performed oral-self-immolation.

As for her "racism", that may ascribe to her too much intellect. But her "burnt Jew cookies" pictures of some 9 years ago is pretty well known.

"Last Man Standing" as picked up by Fox after being dropped by homodisney.  I wish they had done a better job of packaging the arguments against obozo and properly handled the incorrect information provided by the SIL, but it is a conservative show overall and I think it will KILL in the ratings.

Never really watched the show so it is not a loss. I never watched Tim Allen's show either.

I swear I never knew Valorie Jarret was black. I'm not sure Rosanne knew either. That being said, I never "embraced" her like some conservatives on Twitter has. She isn't funny, and her tweets always sound like she's drunk (or crazy). I understand why ABC fired her; but I can't believe they did that after hiring that disgusting blowhard Obermann (sp?).

I had forgotten also. I don't relate to people by skin color. Never cared much for Roseanne. Back when she had her first show she just seemed crude. Afterward she got really weird-disgusting, and obviously that hasn't changed. She blames it on having taking Ambien, but if true I see this as probably a 21st Century in vino veritas moment.

ABC (Disney) is pretending it acted on principle, but ESPN (Disney) hired the far more disgusting Keithie (foul-mouthed and possibly a #MeToo moment about happen). And as 67R called out, Joy Reid got less than a wrist slap for her anti-gay slurs and stupid lies to deny what she obviously said. These Disney affiliates didn't act on principle but of politics: whether racist or stupid, Roseanne hated on the "wrong" person; Olbermann and Reid hate on the "right" people.

Yep, not even a perfunctory show of a ritual "investigation" (always done even when facts are clear). They were looking for an excuse - and had to know before hiring her that Roseanne is a 'roid-rage-grade mouth-control incident looking for a place to happen. And she gave it to them.

Stepping back a little, Roseanne did a self-Dixie-Chicking-on-steroids. Her mouth control just cost ABC, one or more production companies, and bunches of people a whole lot of $$. No one in their right mind - or even half sane - will be willing to risk of working with her ever again.
