I piped up and said my man, Bernie, is on FTN this morning. Art another local said “oh he’s passe”. I said “What!”. He said “you don’t see him around anymore. He’s old news”. I said “he is all over the Internet if all you do is watch TV then you don’t know what is happening!” I told him I threw out my TV in the 80s. He said well it would take too much time. I said no there are sites where people post different articles. He thought I was talking about FB. I mentioned JPR. He said “well you are just getting one side”. I said “nonsense! The TV, radio and not to mention the area we live in is all conservative! I don’t need to hear the conservative side of things because it is all around me”! Then John (another local) says “yeah well the divide is greater and it will be the Democrats on one side and Republican on the other”. I said “nonsense” again. “They are both on the same side. They are both bought and paid for by the same people!” Now John is in his 50s and I believe Art is around 60. But I became concerned because the only time I watch the TV was when I was up at my Dad’s and all he had was the TV. I told the both of them if all they do is watch TV then they know nothing. So if all the general public does is watch TV is Bernie passe?
