Have you ever been the victim of or witnessed a gun related crime?

I witnessed an armed robbery a few years ago. A mere couple of feet from me, a man with a slight build and a scarf over his face brandished a gun. He grabbed the money box at a crowded event and casually strolled out of the venue. I'm sure without the gun that he probably would lose at thumb-wrestling.

Yet, what he was able to accomplish with a gun was so easy and slick.

It would have been much worse if other people had tried to use guns to stop him. Since it was in an area with a high crime rate, the cops seemed unfazed by the incident and said that most likely, the assailant would get away with it.

1. Yep- had a gun pointed at my head one night. My brother had his newly issued NYPD revolver and I

knew, from helping him with his police academy studies that he could not draw his gun while there was one so close pointed at my head. So I did what he had advised and threw my money on the ground away from the both of us, and took off to take cover under a car. I watched the rest unfold- just their feet from the ground. Watching their feet turn and run was a huge relief!

4. I've had guns pointed at me or shot toward me on two occasions.
Maybe the third time will be the charm.

Don't look for Hoyt in this thread, he can see the guys with guns coming from a block away.  Nobody gets the drop on Hoyt.  Even if it's concealed, there's no fooling Hoyt.  He can tell where they're carrying it and he can even tell if they have a round chambered.

There was one primitive who claimed one time that he got pistol whipped in a tavern one night and the bartender wouldn't even call the cops for him, but he must not have seen this thread yet.

I was a sort- of witness to one, but didn't realize guns were involved until later.
Explanation:
Almost 20 years ago, when my younger brother was in middle school and I was a freshman in high school, a gang of young thugs came to our house while our parents were out at a movie, angrily claiming that my brother had stolen money from one of them. For the first part, they were angrily talking to my bro while I watched from a distance, far enough away that I wasn't intruding on their conversation (It wasn't my business, and at the time I didn't realize how serious it was) yet near enough that I'd be able to intervene if things got ugly. Eventually, they made my brother let them come inside the house (Keep in mind he was maybe 13 years old at the time, if that, and we were outnumbered at least 2 to 1), hung around for a little while, then left. When they were gone, we of course called the cops, and my bro revealed that they made it clear to him that at least one of them was packing, and threatened to "Spark" him. Plus, one of the thugs stole my Game Boy while they were inside. The thugs were eventually caught and jailed (My parents were at the trial, and I remember my dad saying he saw them come into the courtroom wearing handcuffs and leg- irons like in 'The Green Mile'), and I got my Game Boy back after a while, but looking back, it scares me how close we could have come to losing our lives.

Your story would be more interesting if you caught a couple of slugs.

Look up "store owner shoots robber" DUmmies.  :cheersmate:

So what is the point of this DUmmie's thread?

That they all could have somehow taken down the assailant, had they only not been armed?

I'd like to see that.   :rotf:

All these DUmmies effectively did was paint a picture for those of us in Red State hell what it is like to live in their Blue Utopias.

3. I was so freaked out I drank about 15 shots of tequila and the adrenaline just ate it all up!

And I was not allowed to talk about it, becasue it would have triggered an investigation and very possibly put an end to his police career. They hate “incidents” and you don’t get the benefit of the doubt while you’re on probation.

5. That really sucks!

I hope the tequila didn't give you a hangover on top of everything else!

7. It did not- felt stoned sober that night and fine the next morning. Go figure.

There are 17 shots in an entire bottle of tequila.  This DUmmie expects us to believe they consumed two shots short of an entire bottle of alcohol, and not only suffered no ill effects, but could not even tell they had drunk anything.

Now, where did I leave my "Willful-suspension-of-disbelief" hat?

15. LOL! Its amazing what a huge rush of adrenaline can do to your body. Im sure I was not well

coordinated enough to do much, but I felt 100% sober and super woke. Nothing was going to take the edge off that night.

"Nah, it's ok officer, I'm fine to drive.  I'm woke."

Sounds like the usual DUmmie "look at me, my story is better than your story" crap.  If true it appears they are hanging out in the wrong neighborhoods and should probably look into some lifestyle changes.

There is cover, concealment and movement but this idiot chooses to put herself in a fatal funnel under a car.  :???:

At Sig academy we actually trained in skipping rounds under a car.

The "wrong neighborhoods" are typically where you find the purveyors of recreational pharmaceuticals the DUmbshits inevitably gravitate towards, so of course they hang out in such locations.
