I'm serious. It's going to be a tough pull to correct all the damage that will have been done by Donald Trump. Starting in January, 2021, we are going to need an accomplished political leader who can pull things together and begin restoring the United States to some semblance of its previous status in the world.

The damage done by one amateur President cannot be fixed by another amateur.

So, no actors. No business CEOs. We need someone who understand both politics and international relationships.

I don't like the thought of Oprah running for office. She has a lot of face recognition and there are a lot of superficial people in the U.S. who would vote for her just because she's Oprah.

WTH does that mean?

* Wocky doesn't want a President who has had to live under and weave his/her way through government regulations in order to conduct their business and daily life? (I think this underlies Progs' fear and loathing of Trump. He's had to conduct business in the face of bureaucratic insanity.)

* Wocky doesn't want a President who actually understands how our economy works through personal experience?

* Wocky doesn't think (I know, I could end this sentence here) people who do international business understand international relations?

In my opinion (which when paired with a $5 bill will get you a cup of coffee and change at Starchucks) it's politicians who have little or no experience with running a business who have F'ed up this country so badly through their elitist ignorance! Wocky wants more of the same.

Why bother with a professional politician?  Bill Clinton was probably the most polished and at least reasonably accomplished professional politician they have run in 50 years.  Not that I agreed at all with him, but at least he was governor & attorney general.  Kerry & Gore, Carter, Mondale & Dukakis had at least a modicum of a political resume.

Go with the Oprah!  Maybe add another no political experience goofball for continuing humor.

Professional politicians have done so well for everyone. Why would we ever want to elect anyone that hasn't spent their lifetime in politics getting rich on the taxpayer's dime?
