WaPo hit piece on Taibbi: Should it end Matt's career?
Kathy Lally has a bone to pick with Matt Taibbi about misogyny bullying, 20 years ago. There's no reason to doubt what Kathy accuses Taibbi of.

The question is, should this end Matt Taibbi's career.

Gross bullying, outrageous sexism, cheering for the sexually exploitative culture of out-of-control Moscow. Sadly we have often celebrated awful louts like this. Read @lallykathy saying something that should have been said long ago>>

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a friend of Matt Taibbi. As a matter of fact, he and I have been pissy with each other, since I prompted his "Greed and Debt" story, about Mitt Romney, in 2012.

Though I actually gave Taibbi permission to omit my name, we were expecting him to tell the eToys and Mattel frauds, as part of the "Greed and Debt" story.

After all, "Greed and Debt" was a huge, success, cover story.

Be that all as it may, Kathy Lally is going for Matt Taibbi's jugular, basically accusing Taibbi and his co-author, of being misogynist Assholes.

Thing is, it was 20 years ago.

I tweeted Kathy Pally, asking her if she did the regular journalist protocol, of reaching out to Matt, seeking either a comment, or apology.

Kathy Lally hasn't responded to me.

Did you do proper journalism, and reach out to Taibbi, informing him of this - hit piece - and ask him for comment or apology?

The question we seek to answer - should Matt Taibbi's bad faith misogny, 20 years ago - end his career, today?

In my opinion, despite my being really pissed off at Matt Taibbi, he should eat humble pie.

I suggest Matt reach out to Anita Hill and see a way to make things right.

Just sayin......we Occupiers...need him!

1. Its based on a right wing hit piece

Taibbi marketed the book as nonfiction, but it turns out that it was “embellished,” mostly by his writing partner. Kind of like “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” is nonfiction and still not true.

A right winger dig up this shit from an old book about five years ago and started shopping it around in an attempt to discredit.

When the women were actually interviewed? Recently? All of them claimed it was total bullshit. One of the women he allegedly harassed, in fact, quit working for Taibbi’s magazine — because she didn’t want there to be any appearance of impropriety. They dated for seven years after that.

You're saying Tiabbi's writing partner inserted changes without Tiabbi's knowledge or consent?

24. The point is that it is open season on those who are considered by the other side to be progressive.

It worked with Franken...so they will keep at it.

It worked with Moore...now comes the reckoning.

8. It is a witch hunt at this point... but hey, as every pointed out to me...if he is guilty of

sexual harassment bullying...he must go. Oh and we occupiers needed Al Franken too.

Franken has long been reputed to be a prima donna bully asshole.

There must be something in the Proglodyte gene.

Help keep America beautiful...deface a liberal.

The Democrat and Republican parties are simply the left and right wings of the same bird of prey.

The road to freedom is paved with dead liberals.

Two words (ignoring the fact that the "signature" was 50% forgery): Roy Moore.

Who?????
Matt Taibbi's an ultra- liberal assclown who's sort of the main political columnist for Rolling Stone Magazine. It's largely due to the work of scum like him that the magazine went from a relatively respectable music/ pop culture magazine to easily one of the most repulsive branches of the liberal media.
Unlike the talking heads on CNN and whatnot, who at least somewhat regulate what they say out of fear of alienating viewers and losing ratings, Taibbi has no such reservations. Knowing that he works for a magazine whose reader base consists pretty much exclusively of stoned liberal twentysomethings, he holds nothing back in using his articles to openly puke hatred against Republicans, conservatives, Christians, and anyone else who disagrees with the far left on any issue.
A good indication of his character, or lack thereof, is the fact that, in the midst of the 2013 controversy over that disgusting magazine featuring an issue whose cover picture was of Dzokhar Tsarnaev (Aka the surviving Boston Marathon Bomber)  looking like a badass rock star, Taibbi wrote an article openly defending their doing so. The fact that he himself is a Boston native made his defense of that despicable cover all the more repugnant.
It doesn't surprise me in the LEAST to learn that such a cruel, hateful, amoral excuse for a man as him would mistreat women behind closed doors. Heck, I'd expect it from him more than I would have from Al Franken.
