Update:  I lost it tonight.  Both of my girls came home and said they had already eaten.  I friggen flipped out.  Anytime I even think of feeding someone else's kid at dinner time I call the parent and ask them if it is ok.  I am either PMSing or having a ton emotion still inside me from my brother dying or something because I over reacted big time.   I threw the rolls in the oven and SLAMMED the oven door and ran to my room and started crying.  I have NEVER done anything like this before.  My parents were both coming over for dinner tonight too.

I heard my husband tell the girls why I was upset and how it is inconsiderate of them not to call to check with me first...etc.  Then my Mom came in my room and I bitched a little and instead of defending the kids and Kevin like she normally does she sided with me and it made me feel better.  I got over it and came out of my room.  My Mom had made a cake so I guess the night was not a total bust.

Ahh, sweetie.

My mom would have yelled at me if I ate dinner somewhere else without calling first.

I was shocked at my reaction.  It troubles me a little..... :(

You're still under a lot of stress.  I wouldn't worry about it too much.

You are right!  You girls are horrible selfish children who deserve your scorn.  If I were you I'd put all their favorite clothes in the washer and pour bleach over them.

I've been productive this evening so far.

I finished the wedding cross-stitch I've been working on. I hit up Michaels to get a frame and mat.  Someone requested I make them a green beanie hat, so I picked up two things of yarn.  One can be felted, which I've never done before, so I might try that.

Then I remembered I was out of Woolite (I have to wash and iron the cross-stitch before I can frame it), and had to stop by the Fiesta for that on my way home.  I have to say, the Mexican grocery store was packed tonight.  They have a ton of employees working, bagging and carrying out groceries.  It's the opposite of the Kroger I usually go to.

Sweety, you are NOT in a normal frame of mind right now.  I was doing stuff like this for almost six months after my Dad died. It's called grief. :) Just take a couple of deep breaths every now and then and consider getting AWAY some place for some personal time alone without the stressors.

There's your Dutch/Polish Uncle advice for the evening.

My eyes are a little blurry right now because I have some eye drops in them and I first read your sentence with the word scissors instead of stressors.   :p

Well depending on how much GRRRRRRRRR! you have in your personal Tiger right now keeping the scissors away from you might be in order too. :-)

My ex-boyfriend found me and emailed me.  I got pissed at K because he NEVER picks up his POS cell phone and when he does finally looks to see I call (I don't call often) he doesn't check the message first he just calls me.  It makes me mad because what if one of the girls were in the hospital or something or my son had an emergency.  He also leaves the office late and thinks it's no big deal if he is 15 minutes later than he normally is.  We eat dinner at 7:30 because he doesn't get home until 7:00 - 7:30 every night, his 15 minutes screws up dinner.  He says, "Just go ahead and start with out me".  That pisses me off the most because I cook for HIM because my girls would eat Ramen Noodles 24/7 if I let them.

I'm making meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and those yeasty rolls that raise in the pan before baking (Rhodes I think they are called), my kids LOVE them.  I shouldn't have made anything for him tonight....bastage.

Now I will feel bad if he has an accident or something.

Oh BEG! I think the same way when I talk about the reason someone has torqued me off.

And I get what you are saying. I stopped cooking super nice because nobody really cared what they ate so they get basics anymore unless I get a bug to cook.

How are things otherwise? :-*

I do think it is emotions from your brother. It keeps you sensitive and raw emotionally. Don't beat yourself up, BEG. If you think you overreacted you can apologize to your girls for the overreaction, but reinforce the idea of them calling first for the reasons Kevin already told them. Hope you are feeling better this morning. :-*

Mia, I like cross stitching too although I haven't had the time to do it in a while. I'd love to see your work sometime.

Latinos like to socialize--their supermarkets are always packed full of peeps ready to talk. At least in Miami that's the way it was--Cuban culture is a bit different but one consistent thing I've found among Latinos is the desire to socialize and engage other people.

Chatty jty!

My week this week is only shadowed slightly in excitement by my butt probing last week.  :-) No more details, just please bid me well.

I have my moments :-) I love how I post a thread about nothing and it takes off. Maybe Jerry Seinfeld had the right idea :uhsure: :-)

Ahh, the butt probing again. I think you really liked it :naughty: :lmao:  :fuelfire:

I posted a pic of the wedding gift in the "Hobbies" forum.  :)

They have better produce at the Fiesta as well.  I need to check it out more the next time I go.

Yep! Produce usually is better and fresher!  Check out the spices too. I love Badia spices, but usually have to get them in the 'southwestern' or Mexican/Latino foods section and then I can only find them in one store. They are great and very reasonable. I also like the spices that you get in the little no frills baggies in the same section. Good stuff!

I'll go check out the pic in Hobbies
