After lurking here for quite awhile I've decided to join the discussion. This is a rational board where people are allowed to disagree (politely) with out being TS'd. Yes, I have posted at DU for a long time and it will only be a matter of time until I too am served the granite pizza. I cannot & will not support "The Chosen One."
I'm from northern Illinois and have 2 kids in college....both of them are smart enough to see through "The Chosen One."

Okay, I thought about this all night long, while working on an accounting project.
Welcome, madam, and make of this place what you will. If you're put off by the politics, well, we have some really good other forums here, such as the cooking forum and the automotive forum and the hobbies forum, and I enthusiastically recommend you check them out, in case they're something that interests you.
Now, I'm going to tell you up front, as I told the Sage One and
tovarish Bill here, we're not going to agree on politics anyway, so there's no need to sweat it. I suspect both Lisa and the nocturnally foul one, Obamaites both, will admit we're a friendly bunch of people here. Both Lisa and the nocturnally foul one of course are from Skins's island, but they're not primitives. They're just a couple of people who happened by chance or bad luck, to end up there.
"Primitives" are those inhabitants of Skins's island who never leave Skins's island, coming out into the greater wider world.
Anyway.
I'd like to give you some illumination into the way some of us think here; this is not a request for responses on your part. If you'd like to, fine, but if you don't want to, fine. It's just some insight for you, as to why some of us think the way we do.
(a) the most troubling, most disturbing, aspect of the Obamaites and Obamaite primitives ("Obamaites" means Obamaites out in the real world; the second is self-explanatory) is their notion that their man is the Messiah Come To Save The World.
This is really disturbing, because never in the history of the world has a mere mortal man "saved" it.
It reeks more of
fuehrer worship than of politics.
If Barry "Goldwater" Obama hoisted his dirty underwear up a flagpole, the Obamaites and Obamaite primtives would salute it.
It's a creepy kind of "cult" thing.
(b) this does not bother some of us about supporters of the worthier candidate for the Democratic nomination, because such a phenomenon does not exist among them.
Supporters of the worthier Democratic candidate are a higher class of people; people who know politics, people who live politics, in the real world. And people who know no mortal man has ever "saved" the world, and so don't think of the worthier Democratic candidate as the New Messiah.
They like her, they think she's the best man for the job, but they know she's not God.
(c) supporters of the worthier Democratic candidate are also a higher class of people because of their common courtesy and good manners.
Now, you were (or are) inside looking inside, but I was outside looking inside.
I must say I never met a sorrier group of sore "winners" than the Obamaites and Obamaite primitives.
I have been shocked, utterly shocked, at their behavior.
My God, these people made Colorado football fans look sportsmanlike.
I watched the action between the Obamaite primitives and the supporters of the worthier Democratic candidate on Skins's island during the heated primaries. While supporters of the worthier Democratic candidate conducted themselves with courtesy and grace and maturity and even elegance, the Obamaite primitives were savages, just really bestial savages.
That they appear to have "won" ameliorated their lust for violence and blood and destruction not a whit; in fact, the more they "won," the more they wanted to humiliate, crush, and annihilate.
We have had internecine warfare here on the Republican and conservative sides before, really violent battles, but man, all sides in our brutal contests never had any inclination to humiliate, crush, and annihilate.
Simply winning was good enough, after which the losers congratulated the winners and the winners congratulated the losers.
Simply winning was enough; total extermination, not even thought of, much less desired.
I've lived a rough-and-tumble sort of life, and dealt with all sorts of people, but I never realized the uttermost depth of depravity in people, until watching the Obamaite primitives wreak much destructive cruelty and barbarism that was not necessary.
The primitive names "cali" and "jgraz" are seared in my brain; these people made Reinhard Heydrich and Julius Streicher beating up on old Jews look like nice guys by comparison.
The way the Obamaite cali primitive picked on the kind and gentle Fredda Warberg, and the way the Obamaite rich kid grazing primitive picked on the vulnerable cboy4, transcended the boundaries of bestiality; I'm sure they belong in the Annals of Cruelty and Bad Manners.
I'm just really uncomfortable with sore "winners," but get much solace from the fact that God has arranged things so that sore "winners" are never, really, winners, only losers.
Well, the brain cells are short-circuiting (working all night long on accounting does that to one), and I have to get some sleep, so I'll lay off. You don't have to respond to anything I said, I just wanted you to know where some of us are coming from.
