primitives being anti-Red Cross

No links, because there's just so much misinformation being spread by the primitives one can't even bother "cherry picking."

<<<has no connection with the American Red Cross, and to the best of my knowledge, while I've donated to lots and lots of charities in my life, it just so happened by random chance and accident  I've never donated to them, other than their blood drives.

Anyway, the primitives are spreading a hoary old lie about the American Red Cross, obviously as an excuse for them to duck their moral and social obligation to help the victims of the latest storm down south; they'd just as soon buy dope than help their fellow citizens.

Much of the ill-will--enthusiastically supported by the primitives--against the American Red Cross is based upon that during the second world war in Europe, while other American organizations such as the Salvation Army gave U.S. military personnel coffee and chow for free, the Red Cross charged them; something like a nickel for a cup of coffee.

That is true, but there was a good reason for it.

The British Red Cross, hard up for money because they'd been at war for so long, charged British military personnel for coffee and chow; no freebies.

The Red Cross is an international organization, and has always tried applying its rules and standards as equitably as possible, transcending national boundaries.

Because British military personnel had to pay for their stuff from the Red Cross, it was decided it was only fair to charge American military personnel too.

It wasn't like it was a whole lot of money; the charges were, essentially, token amounts.

So that's why it was the way it was.

Again, one suspects the primitives are spreading these malicious misrepresentations so that they themselves have an excuse to not donate to the American Red Cross--or other charities.

One of the main characteristics of primitivity is that they always try to cover their base, venal, mercenary motives under a cloak of nobility.

Such as not wanting to have children because the world is overpopulated.....when in blunt fact they don't want to have children simply because they'd rather spend their resources on dope.

Such as when widder (as in "widow") Nan, the NanceGreggs primitive, alleges she moved to Canada because of George Bush.....when in blunt fact she moved to Canada because her late husband at the time had a job that moved him back-and-forth.

When a primitive alleges some sort of noble or meritorious action, one must pause and look deeper; what's the real reason?

And so lately we've been hearing the primitives tell us why they don't donate to the American Red Cross--usually because of some public-relations gaffe more than seventy years ago--when really they won't donate because they'd rather spend the money on dope.  It has nothing, really, to do with a specific organization or charity, just their own personal selfishness.
