CC Pick 'em League
« on: August 16, 2008, 11:09:57 AM »
I am going to start a league, but, I just wanted to see if yall wanted to pick games straight-up or against the spread. I prefer against the spread, but, will comply with what the majority of the participants want.

You'll have a better shot of beating me with the spread option. Oh, who am I kidding? You have a better shot of beating me anyway.  :-)

As someone who may or (probably) may not join, I'd say "spread."

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

I was in 1st or 2nd the first 13 weeks last year. I was in 1st for 7 of those weeks. I ended up in 8th. It only takes one bad week.

Is it just me or does the league seem kinda wide open this year.  Especially with the injury to Brady.

He's lead the Fantasy Baseball league for months. I've decided that he is the Fantasy Sports king. I didn't even bother with Fantasy Football because I knew I would get whooped.

You didn't play the fantasy league because you knew you would lose, begs the question of why did you play the pick em league then. End results is gonna be the same. :evillaugh:
