It's Friday... Talk some trash about a coworker who annoys you.


So I've been listening for the last hour to a woman I'll call "Sarah Palin" babble on about NOTHING... NOTHING. This after she spent the morning talking trash about the guy painting our office for taking too many breaks and wasting time.

3. Mine is about a former co-worker - she's the reason I chose to retire early

She is a right wing, racist, homophobic, born again evangelical narcissist. She would spend all day on the phone, running the lives of everyone in her family, fighting with her husband, fighting with stores, schools, you name it. She was so loud, we all knew what was going on with everyone and everything. We had dual computer monitors, and she watched movies on the one that wasn’t visible to people walking by her cubicle. She also ran her home business from work, using supplies from the supply cabinet. She was always behind in her work, and always lied about that, too. She had NO problem telling people exactly why they, or their family members, were headed to hell. We repeatedly tried to get something done about her behavior, but she was involved in some sort of protracted litigation with the company that seemed to make her immune to being fired. She actually had been fired, once, but the whole situation was so FUBAR, they had to give her a job - not the one she was fired from - just another job within the company. When I left, I cited her as the #1 reason for me leaving. As far as I know, she is still working there - having proclaimed herself the most valuable employee in the company. Seriously. She said that.

6. My favorite trick that she used was an extra coat and purse, in her cubicle

She'd take off and go shopping, or get get her hair done, or get a mani-pedi, but everyone thought she was still in the building, since her coat and purse were still in her cubicle. Then one day, someone got suspicious and checked out the purse, only to find it was empty.

Shortly after, she wandered back in with fresh hi-lights and a new manicure, wearing a different coat and carrying a different purse. I think that was about the time they made a "good faith" effort at trying to fire her. We were a union company, and someone in management screwed up so she filed a grievance. The company and union had no choice but to bring her back. She was a massive pain in the ass of our union rep. Probably still is.

5. I had a co-worker who was weird as shit. He drove everybody nuts.

He retired rather abruptly, and we never knew whether he jumped or was pushed. But he was a big PITA. Since he'd been around for awhile he sometimes was tasked with training new people, and he'd tell them in a snarky but passive-aggressive way not to do things that he'd turn right around and do himself. One new employee, an African-American guy, had been on the receiving end of his snark for awhile and finally asked me if Mr. Weirdo was racist, and I had to explain that no, he treats everybody equally, that is to say, like crap. He would send long, rambling, passive-aggressive emails to the entire department telling us how certain procedures were supposed to be done and nobody (but him, of course) was doing them correctly, but more often than not his procedures were the incorrect ones. He had terrible body odor. He was very uptight and proper, which was why the rest of us suspected that he probably had an extensive and disturbing porn collection. We were all relieved when he announced his retirement.

7. Oh boy is this in my strike zone

I could write a dissertation on my idiot coworker. I'll stick to one. I am very passive aggressive with her, so I avoid her as much as possible. She'll overhear me talking to other co-workers and reference *that* conversation when taking to me. For example, oh I know you have been doing a lot in your garden lately, even though I never talked to her about my garden. Or, I know you were happy with the person who put in your new flooring, even though I never had a conversation with her about that. It's just downright weird to me. I'll stop for now!


Where is the Deleting DUmmie?????

Effective moling.  Lords it over the dummies that he/she/it can afford to retire early in one sentence. Then goes on a typical dummie rant about an evil rethuglican that caused her/him/it to retire.    I give 8+ on the Perky scale of moling for the first sentence alone. The rest does not really matter.

An aside: Let us say this is not a mole....  :whistling: ..... well the evil rethuglican is still there and the dummie is not.
