U.S. Flag Recalled After Causing 143 Million Deaths
WASHINGTON—Citing a series of fatal malfunctions dating back to 1777 ...
Where
The Onion came up with that 143M number, I don't know. No matter how one adds up deaths of slaves, Indians, and deaths in wars, I doubt 143M is realistic. But stipulating that:
* Blacks who feel the various Sub-Saharan Hell-holes would be preferable are free to go there; otherwise as awful as slavery was, it saved many millions of recent generations from miserable existences and worse deaths in those Hell-holes;
* While North American Indians didn't, AFAIK, go into human sacrifice as did powerful Central and South American Indian cultures, many North American Indian tribal groups were at more or less continual war with each other over territory; pick your poison
* Speaking of Hell-holes, but for the Bear Flag Revolt, Mexican-American War, and
purchase of what is now the SW US, those states, too, would Hell-holes like much of Mexico.
* As for more recent wars, Lib & Prog ingrates should be glad they aren't sashimi and/or wurst! Which, metaphorically, they would be, but for the German and Japanese soldiers and sailors American soldiers, airmen, sailors, and Marines killed in WW1 & 2.
* As for the Cold War, Lib & Prog ingrates should reflect on the Gulags and NoKo, Chinese, and Vietnamese "reeducation" camps; if they mouth off to the right Korean, Chinese, or Vietnamese neighbor, said Lib & Prog ingrates might get an earful of assistance in their reflections! Or a mouthful, depending on the Lib & Prog ingrates mouthings-off.
