I'm worried the Supreme Court is lost.
It's hard to imagine that Kennedy and Ginsburg can hold out, or want to hold out, for 3 more years.
Ruh-Rohhhhhh, Raggy! Somebody just woke up to reality. Note well, how (s)he regards Kennedy as a liberal. He is more of a fence-sitter or weather vane, but pointed the Lib/Prog way fairly often. OTOH, I don't think Kennedy perceives a need to keep the Trump-Barbarians out of the US Supreme Court the way Ginsburg probably does.
My groundless speculation is that Kennedy will resign fairly soon, well within Trump's first term so the Ds can't invoke the Biden Rule, but Ginsburg might hold out till the day she dies or a D is elected President, whichever comes first.
If she holds out to the 2020 election and
if Trump is reelected, that discouragement might result in her dying within a few weeks. I think it would be better for her and for her family if she resigned fairly soon - politics entirely aside - but I doubt she sees things that apolitically.
