Former Fox News host and current NBC host Megyn Kelly set out to demonize Alex Jones of Infowars who is often described as a conspiracy theorist.

During her attempt to destroy Jones she ended up destroying herself as her ratings plummeted and she even lost a sponsor in the process.

The New York Times reported:

In a 17-minute segment — which had generated hours of commentary and a raft of protests before it aired — Ms. Kelly repeatedly challenged Mr. Jones, the conspiracy theorist, Infowars founder and influential right-wing personality.

She pressed him on his baseless claims that the Sandy Hook school shooting was a hoax. She confronted him about describing teenage victims of the terror attack in Manchester, England, in May as “liberal trendies.” And she described his behavior as “reckless accusation, followed by equivocations and excuses.”

Ms. Kelly’s solemn and scolding tone — “That doesn’t excuse what you did and said about Newtown,” she told Mr. Jones at one point as he tried to explain his views on Sandy Hook — may placate some who objected when the former Fox News anchor announced her feature on Mr. Jones.

CNN Money added:

Kelly’s sit down with Jones, a controversial, conspiracy theorist radio host and founder of the website Infowars, brought in an average of 3.5 million viewers Sunday night. That’s the fewest viewers that Kelly’s weekly news magazine telecast, “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly,” has drawn since its debut three weeks ago.

The show also trailed a re-run episode of CBS’ “60 Minutes,” which brought in 5.3 million viewers. Among 18-49-year-olds, the demographic most prized by advertisers, a repeat of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” beat both Kelly and “60 Minutes” by about 40%.

Make no mistake, Alex Jones is a con artist. He claims the US government was behind 9/11, that Sandy Hook was a hoax, that PizzaGate was real, and that Chiboani yogurt hired rapists and refugees.

Jones has faced countless lawsuits for his “journalism” and yet continues to spew lies.

It’s hilarious that Megyn Kelly and Alex Jones both were made to look like fools.

FACEPLANT: ‘Funniest Home Videos’ rerun beats Megyn Kelly Sunday show

Americans were more interested in faceplants and crotch shots on Sunday night than they were in Megyn Kelly’s new NBC show.

Kelly’s audience ratings continued to shrink, despite a much hyped interview with Infowars’ Alex Jones.

TV Line reports:

Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly‘s controversial Q&A with Alex Jones drew 3.5 million total viewers and a 0.5 rating, ticking down for a second consecutive week and tying for third in the demo in the time slot behind Fox’s U.S. Open golf coverage (6.1 mil/1.4) and ABC’s Funniest Home Videos rerun (3.7 mil/0.7).

“Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” was also bested by ABC’s “Celebrity Family Feud,” “Steve Harvey’s Funderdome,” and “The $100,000 Pyramid.”

Kelly’s audience saw a steep decline from the previous week.

According to Variety, Kelly’s 3.5 million total viewers was down significantly from the previous week’s 4.9 million.

That’s a 29% decrease.

Conservative legend Bill O’Reilly slammed con artist Alex Jones from Infowars.com for his blatant lies and defended Megyn Kelly against the criticism she is receiving from the right.

REport: NBC Trying to Get Rid of $17M Dud ✨Megyn✨…

After Kelly’s controversial and much-hyped interview with Alex Jones tanked by again failing to beat out reruns of 60 Minutes and America’s Funniest Home Videos, New York radio host Mark Simone tweeted on Monday that NBC is trying to unload Kelly and convince Fox News to take her back.

But a high-ranking Fox News source told Breitbart News that there is “no way” Kelly could come back to the network. Quite simply, the source told Breitbart News, Kelly “would not be welcomed back.”
