I have been a DUmmie since 2001, and I would love to see those o-bot morons martyr themselves and see DU return to a place where I can bitch about conservatives instead of Hillary. The Hillary hate drove me away. So now I am here to bitch about DU with a bunch of conservatives. go figure.
Look,
tovarish Vasiliy, I need to explain something; I tried upon my first encounter with the Sage One, but got all tangled up, perhaps leaving the wrong impression.
Now, of course I'm a Republican; you aren't going to find many more Republican than I am. Whether I'm conservative or not is arguable; according to that test measuring political ideology that the primitives were passing around on Skins's island some time ago, I'm dead-center middle-of-the-road. So middle-of-the-road that I get run over by traffic going both directions.
However, being called "conservative" is fine and dandy with me. Usually people call me bad names, not flattering names.
Anyway.
My "dog" in this fight--I'm the one bringing over all those bonfires from Skins's island where the Obamaite primitives are spewing out Hate against the 50.2% of the Democrats who supported the worthier candidate--is that I really really really wanted Hillary Clinton to be the Democrat nominee, even if she proved more difficult to defeat than any other Democrat nominee.
Hillary Clinton, being a person of accomplishment--I don't agree with, or like, most of her accomplishments, but it has be said she's accomplished much--DESERVED the Democrat nomination.
As I tried explaining to the Sage One some weeks ago, I've always looked at the Republican-Democrat race for the presidency as if we're the Nebraska football team versus the Oklahoma football team, pre-1990.
Two top-notch, high-quality, first-rate teams banging heads. Each giving its best.
Barry "Goldwater" Obama is not the best the Democrats have to offer; the best the Democrats have to offer is Hillary Clinton. I wanted to see a tough, tight-knuckled, knock-out, brawl between two evenly-matched opponents, but if Barry "Goldwater" Obama's the Democrat candidate, that's not going to happen.
It'll be like Nebraska, pre-1990, instead of playing Oklahoma, having to play Kansas.
Those were damned boring games.
Now that you know where I'm coming from on this, welcome, make yourself at home, and feel free to agree or disagree, whatever the case may be. I'm happy you showed up here.
