Serious question for you conservatives about trump:

Just how far are you willing to back his actions? Put another way, can you conceive of trump going too far, and taking actions that you feel are at odds with the basic principles of the United States and its history?

What if trump orders the construction of concentration camps around the country, to house unnamed "undesirable" elements of the population?

What if the editorial offices of the NY Times and the Washington Post and MSNBC are shut down and occupied by the military?

What if Yellowstone National Park is re-purposed as one big oil and gas exploration lease?

What if our country's participation in the UN is terminated, and the UN building ordered destroyed?

What if trump and his staff start wearing black military uniforms and mumbling about how superfluous a legislative branch of government seems?

I'm deadly serious about these "what if's." To me, the trump base's blind enthusiasm for him is starting to resemble a pre-war Nuremburg rally. Absolutely nothing seems too radical to contemplate. So give it a little thought and tell me: can trump go too far, in your current opinion? Thanks for your consideration.

this is what passes as serious thought in Liberal circles. Conservatives will rule forever.
Mostly he received derision and laughter from my fellow cons, and saspamco is like, "These are serious questions!

I answered silly questions with silly answers, but I think I am the only one out of 50 responses.

President Trump is a patriot and unlike all you left wing US hating liberal commie bastards he won't go there.

What if trump orders the construction of concentration camps around the country, to house unnamed "undesirable" elements of the population?
I will sign up to drive the bus's for free. I will work 12 hours a day 7 days a week to get rid of all you left wing parasites.

What if the editorial offices of the NY Times and the Washington Post and MSNBC are shut down and occupied by the military?
I would rather see them burned down with all the liberal US hating journalists inside.

What if Yellowstone National Park is re-purposed as one big oil and gas exploration lease?
We will be able to have energy independence and not have to sen money to the sand apes who promote terrorism.

What if our country's participation in the UN is terminated, and the UN building ordered destroyed?
We will save millions , I would go there and work for free to help get it done ASAP, Then we can build a park for all the homeless and drunks living on the street to live.

What if trump and his staff start wearing black military uniforms and mumbling about how superfluous a legislative branch of government seems?
If they get rid of the useless mooches like pelosi, schumer, waters etc, I am fine with it.

I'm deadly serious about these "what if's." To me, the trump base's blind enthusiasm for him is starting to resemble a pre-war Nuremburg rally. Absolutely nothing seems too radical to contemplate. Really, you need to ask more realistic questions, saspamco. Something like:

Quote
What if trump orders the construction of concentration camps around Venus, to house Liberals and Progressives?

What if the editorial offices of the NY Times and the Washington Post and MSNBC are shut down and all the partisan whores cleaned out?

What if Yellowstone National Park is made off-limits to Enviro-Leeches?

What if our country's participation in the UN is terminated, and the UN building ordered destroyed? Sounds good, but the site would probably have to have toxics cleaned out before the site could be suitable for actual use.

What if trump and his staff start wearing magenta and chartreuse striped clown noses for the new national holiday, Mock a Democrat Day?

Oh, and saspamco, have you stopped beating your wife and kicking your dog on alternating days?
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

This times 1000!

Now i would lose some faith in PRESIDENT TRUMP if he had gone along with the boondoogle of AGW called the Penis Accords.

Question for DUchebagettes, do you condone Obama using the government to spy, penalize, and terrorize his political opponents?  Nevermind, i know you do.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Darn. I wanted to register just to answer this idiot, but either my computer/I-net connection is being passive aggressive or DU Jr. is. So, I will answer it here.

Is there anything that President McDreamy could have done that would have give YOU pause?

How about lying about a healthcare bill that cost thousands of people the policies that they liked, only to be replaced by policies that covered shit they didn't want at triple the cost??? (Happened to my son.)

How about doing an end run around the Senate by calling treaties "not treaties," like that stupid Iran "agreement" that would have gone down in flames in the US Senate, but that virtually guarantees that Iran will be a nuclear power--but not for a few years?

Or, that stupid Paris "agreement" that will cause people's utility bills to go up astronomically at the same time that China is allowed to INCREASE their greenhouse gas emissions for another 10 or 15 years?

How about single-handedly redifining the Constitutionally guaranteed RIGHT to the free expression of religion to mean only what goes on within a church, on a particular day?

How about decreeing that teenage girls undress and shower in the presence of biological males?

How about appointing a Supreme Court Justice who joked about legislating from the bench?

Anderson Cooper made a nasty remark about Trump taking a dump on his desk, but Obama could have taken a dump in your lap and you would have been fine with it.

Your hypocrisy disgusts me.

DU Jr. was down for a while this afternoon, for reasons unstated.

In case one's in doubt about whether it's one's computer, or if the site is truly down, here's a handy-dandy link to add to one's "favorite places":

What if trump orders the construction of concentration camps around the country, to house unnamed "undesirable" elements of the population?  Yeah, not gonna happen.  Even if he wanted to, Congress wouldn't fund it and the Courts would knock it down at T-10.

What if the editorial offices of the NY Times and the Washington Post and MSNBC are shut down and occupied by the military?  See 'Courts,' with a side order of Posse Comitatus Act.  Besides, the two papers are too useful for identifying traitors to close down, and shutting down MSNBC would be like outlawing LPs that contained overly-critical speeches or forbidding genetic men from bearing babies.

What if Yellowstone National Park is re-purposed as one big oil and gas exploration lease?  Silly idea.  It's an active volcanic caldera, do you want to kill us all, you crazy bastard?!?  We're going to explore ANWR, not Yellowstone.

What if our country's participation in the UN is terminated, and the UN building ordered destroyed?  SWEET!

What if trump and his staff start wearing black military uniforms and mumbling about how superfluous a legislative branch of government seems?  Can I go through rejuvenation treatment and get assigned to a star destroyer if he does?

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

Ok, I decided to back out on the DI trolling and take a hiatus... the hides were catching up with me and the site is broke. old hides aren't falling off like they are supposed
to so my account is almost shot.
ANYway...
I've made it no secret that I've never been a Trump fan. Personally, I thought "my guy" would have done much better and had considerably better public appearance presence and stature. All that aside, and coming from a voter who doesn't even LIKE Trump, I'm on board with him on policy at a rate of about 75%. That's pretty damned good when taking history into account when it comes to Presidents. Even "my guy" would probably only align with me at about 90%... at best.
Plus, all his personal flaws aside, Trump has 3 things going for him that are remarkable traits for a "politician"...
First, regardless of what anyone says, I really do believe the man fully intends to keep every promise he possibly can, it's his top priority. He doesn't like being labeled a liar. Whether or not this is a result of a fragile ego or not is of no importance to me. He WANT'S to keep his promises. That puts him miles ahead of nearly any other person capable of the position.
Secondly, I really am 100% convinced that his drive is for American greatness and it's economic stability overall. He proves it every day with every action. It's not just his words (that I would never trust of ANYONE in high office), it's action. And he delivers everything he can, congressional resistance aside.
And lastly, his disdain for the media, and most especially, willingness to OPENLY go to war with them. No one has ever had such balls.
As far as I am concerned, those are his 3 strongest traits. And as much as I flat don't like the guy, those traits have led me to actually trust this guy.
He's still far too liberal for my liking in a few key areas, but if this is the price for the rest of it, I'll take what I can get and like it.
This guy is doing serious damage to the system we have all grown to despise. It's what he promised to do, and he's staying up all night to accomplish it.
I really do think that when one looks at results alone, this guy is on track to surpass the great Ronald Reagan in results... I really do think that potential is there.

:hi5:  :cheersmate: , and well said!

When I voted for Trump, it was largely because he is not Hillary, and because of the MSM's hysterical hatred for him. Trump said a lot of nice-sounding things, but politicians lie, a lot. I just figured he'd do considerably less damage that Hillary. Given those expectations, Trump has surprised me - a lot, and for the good.
