victim's inability to grasp the simplest solution.  A person suffering
from cranial-rectalitis will frequently fabricate complex and
complicated solutions for simple problems.

Yep I think you got it....

You totally missed the 'sympathetic' part.  As I explained it to another junior staff officer of the armored cavalry squadron I was in when I came up with it, it meant "Having your head up your ass and loving the view."  He burst out laughing in a weekly Command & Staff meeting, and the squadron commander wasn't exactly amused. :bolt: :whistling:
