Portland Forces Whites To Close Mexican Restaurant Because They Are Not Mexican

Kali Wilgus and Liz "LC" Connelly are two millennial friends who traveled to Baja California on vacation and discovered what they thought might be the best burritos they had ever had. So with a little experimentation and reverse engineering, the two women started a little business in their hometown of Portland they called "Kooks Burritos."

But when they told their story to a local paper, social media trolls accused them of cultural appropriation* and forced the business to close. Wilgus and Connelly are white – and their accusers say they appropriated Mexican culture for profit.

A news story about the demise of Kooks showed up on a newsfeed that is displayed on the City of Portland's Office of Equity and Human Rights website.

The thread title is false, as far as I know. I have seen no reports that the City of Portland or the State of Oregon took any action against Kooks Burritos. While inclusion in the newsfeed of Portland's OEHR website suggests some sort of approval of what the thugs did, it apparently was Prog thugs' demonization that drove Kook's Burritos out of business, not government action.

If you have a news story that shows that the City of Portland or the State of Oregon took action against Kooks Burritos, please post it and set me straight.

While liberals pretend to fight against “racism” they are some of the most racist people. They ran two white women out of business for having the audacity to make and sell burritos. Liberals are now debating whether white people should be allowed to sell burritos at all.

Portland burrito shop FORCED TO CLOSE amid accusations of cultural appropriation, stealing recipes

As Eater points out, the shop’s online presence has all but disappeared (the shop’s Facebook, Instagram and official website have been stripped of any content). Its Yelp page, however, remains online, under an “Active Cleanup Alert” intended to remove comments about its recent media attention, rather than its food or service.

H2BM, I believe you misread his comment, specifically the bolded part. Blogs are not news stories.

The city or state taking action would come in the form of harassment by health inspectors, frequent visits by city workers about complaints, etc; NOT bad reviews on Yelp or trolling of their social media. They are being forced to close due to pressure from the "tolerant" liberal public, which is unfortunate, but does NOT equal action by the government.
