WTF? Trump admin leaked the name of the Manchester bomber?

Just caught it out of the corner of my eye, but I think they just said that the Brits wanted to keep the name of the bomber out of the news so that they could better work on finding out if he had help, or was connected to a larger op, but they had to publish the name because US sources had revealed it.

I hate to make assumptions, but I doubt we would have leaked the name if it sounded like it belonged to a middle age white guy

Edited to add that the Brits probably wanted the name witheld so that the people who potentially helped him wouldn't go underground

  I saw it released in a BBC press briefing. not sure what the DUmpmonkie is talking about.

Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said authorities believe the attack was carried out by 22-year-old Salman A., but declined to go into further details because he had not been formally identified.

Snopes has a similar article but it's by AP, who don't like their work being quoted, even in brief fair-usage-compliant manner.

There are several articles "out there" making the Trump-leaked claim, but it's absurd on its face. The bombing happened in Manchester, England, not in the US, where the FBI would be involved. There is no reason reason Manchester police or any other UK authority would give the suicide bomber's name to high-level Trump Administration people, and probably not to any counter-terror people in the US. It probably started with some Hate-Trumper at the (Manchester) Guardian posting this wild-ass claim, knowing Hate-Trump media would repeat it without first fact-checking it.

Coming from another angle, let's pretend Trump was the first to announce to the world the name of the porcine anus bomber (he didn't, but when did facts matter to DU-folk). Does anybody seriously believe porcine anus' co-conspirators didn't start their efforts to hide even before porcine anus blew up his bomb?

You can practically smell the rancid, desperate sweat streaming off the leftists.  This stupid leaking the name of the Manchester bomber crap that they are trying to peddle.  Our senators can't seem to talk to ambassadors from other countries.  Trump can't talk to Russians and now I see they are babbling something about submarines and the president of the Philippines.
