A couple of basic tips, nothing new:
* Minimize liquid calories - sodas, fruit juices, sodas, beer (sorry guys), and sodas. They don't fill you for long but still have to be burned off.
* Shop the outside aisles of the grocery store, usually where meat, dairy, and produce are located. The frozen veggies area is OK, too, maybe canned veggies (other than canning doing unspeakable things to most veggies).
