Conservative author Ann Coulter was one of the most vocal supporters of Donald Trump during the presidential campaign.

She wrote “In Trump We Trust” and proclaimed that she worships him like the “people of North Korea worship their Dear Leader – blind loyalty.”

Coulter described herself as a single-issue voter during the election and was drawn to Trump due to his “Mexican rapist speech” and him calling for a border wall to be built.

In an interview Sunday with The Daily Caller, Coulter let it be known she still has hope in the Trump presidency, but is ready to jump ship.

So there’s no wall, and Obama’s amnesties look like they are here to stay. Do you still trust Trump?

But this isn’t North Korea, and if he doesn’t keep his promises I’m out. This is why we voted for him. I think everyone who voted for him knew his personality was grotesque, it was the issues.

You said during the election and in columns that if there is no wall it’s the end of America.

Trump was our last shot. I kind of thought it was Romney, and then lo and behold like a miracle Trump comes along. I still believe in Trumpism. I have no regrets for ferociously supporting him. What choice did we have?

We had no choice. Yeah, I mean, my fingers are still crossed. It’s not like I’m out yet, but boy,

I have from the beginning been opposed to Trump hiring any of his relatives. Americans don’t like that, I don’t like that. That’s the one fascist thing he’s done. Hiring his kids.

Are you going to be apologizing to these Never Trumpers?

I don’t apologize for supporting Trump. He said all the right things and nobody else would even say it. I suppose it’s possible that another politician who really meant it would come along. There’s Kris Kobach, Tom Cotton, Jeff Sessions…there are probably a handful of politicians.

I got to tell you when I wrote “Adios America” I thought there was a 10 percent chance of saving the country. On the evening of November 8, I thought, “Wow we have a 90 percent chance now, this is a chance that comes a long once every thousand years, we can save America now.”

And now, I don’t know, I’m someplace between 10 percent and 90 percent.

How much blame does congressional leadership deserve?

I do, of course, blame Congress most of all. They are swine. They only care about their own careers. Who knows how much of it is corruption and how much of it is pure stupidity? People should start sending Paul Ryan bricks to indicate how much we want the wall.

They are the opposition party to Donald Trump. This is really something we’ve never seen before. The president stands alone, it’s his own political party, he’s Gary Cooper. All we have is millions of Americans behind him, but he doesn’t have anybody in Washington behind him.

It’s just that it has been such a disaster so far, and that General Kelly is so preposterous, and McMaster — did you see him at that press conference? I thought he was retarded. You have to link to that video.

I’ve never actually heard anyone other than liberals mocking their idea of a stupid Republican say, “Murica.”

[Trump] might not have realized how intense the opposition was going to be. Not on everything. Nobody else would have done the trade deals, that is to save American jobs. But they are not going to complain and massively resist on trade. They are not going to massively resist him on things like tax cuts. They are going to love for him to go to war, we have to try to resist him on that.

The one thing he will get massive resistance from every source in Washington including his “own party” is immigration.

Trump: MS-13 Will be Off Our Streets Very Soon

May 15, 2017
12:43 pm

President Trump promised that the Mexican gang MS-13 will no longer walk the streets of American cities while speaking at the National Peace Officers’ Memorial on Monday.

MS-13 is going to be gone from our streets very soon, believe me,” Trump told the crowd.

He then pointed back at Vice President Mike Pence, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly as the point men on the fight.

In an uncharacteristic moment, Trump relied a heavily on philosophical argument in defense of his “law and order” administration.

“True social justice means a future where every child in every neighborhood can play outside without fear, can walk home safely from school, and can live out the beautiful dreams that fill their heart,” Trump said.

“Freedom includes the right to be free, and I mean totally free, from crime and from violence,” he added.

After Weeks of Missteps, Nervous Trump Aides Hope for a Reboot

Rattled by President Donald Trump's increasing frustration with the staff guidance he's getting and by the administration's unforced errors, White House officials are desperately hoping the president's first foreign trip beginning on Friday offers a chance to reboot what's become a damaging narrative.

Preparations for the trip come as Trump's inner circle appears to be shrinking, fueling paranoia inside the West Wing among a fatigued staff battered by a drumbeat of reports suggesting some senior staffers are on the chopping block.

While some kind of shake-up appears nearly inevitable at this point, insiders caution it doesn't seem imminent — at least, not right now. The sources quoted in this article asked for anonymity to be able to discuss internal administration conversations.

Bannon's influence, in particular, appears to be waning. Those close to him believe Bannon seems increasingly out of the loop on key issues, like the firing of former FBI director James Comey. Two administration sources say the chief strategist didn't find out the decision was final until after it was a done deal.

Two other sources close to the president say Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, concerned about being perceived as out of the loop, has crashed West Wing meetings in an effort to stay keyed in on comings and goings.

As for beleaguered Press Secretary Sean Spicer: he's been the subject of persistent firing rumors for months, but even his allies acknowledge the latest flurry of chatter feels more substantial. Multiple sources cite a growing split between Spicer and Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, who made clear his displeasure with how the press shop handled the Comey firing fallout.

Still, if President Trump does decide to go in a different direction, he'll face another problem: "You can't fire your senior team, or most of them, if you don't have anybody ready to go," said one source familiar with the discussions. "They clearly don't have anybody ready to go."

Sen. Chuck Schumer is trying to sabotage the Trump administration, at the expense of the country

The obvious retort, that President Trump is doing a lot to sabotage himself, isn't wrong. But that doesn't justify the extraordinary depths of the minority leader's partisan irresponsibility.

Schumer says he will try to block a new director of the FBI until Trump appoints a special counsel to investigate Russia's meddling in the 2016 election.

It's obvious what Schumer sees to gain from this effort. It pleases the liberal base and serves Schumer's broader purpose of crippling an administration, making it ineffective, and then reaping the electoral rewards of complaining against a president who can get nothing done.

Schumer and the Left want to maximize the political price Trump pays for any action he takes, whether it is genuinely controversial and troubling, or only frothed up by critics to look that way.

Trump has not shown sufficient interest in good government, in hiring staff sufficient in number and competence, and in keeping politics out of places where it's not supposed to go. Schumer's response has been to inject more politics and more dysfunction, hoping dysfunction helps the out-of-power party.
