A jury on Thursday convicted former 12-term Democratic Congresswoman Corrine Brown on more than a dozen federal fraud charges.

Brown and Ronnie Simmons, her chief of staff who previously pleaded guilty in the case, were named last year in a 24-count federal indictment relating to a scheme led by Brown in which she used her official post as a member of Congress to help solicit $800,000 in contributions for a sham education charity, One Door for Education.

Also, She had the gall to claim over 12K in charity to HER FAKE ORGANIZATION that she was pulling 800 dollars a day from that account and depositing in her personal account

Just gotta point out that it's good to see Dems acknowledging when someone has let us down. We face up to problems and resolve to do better.

What a contrast to er, um any party that condones and covers up for misconduct, even at the highest levels. No ethics whatsoever.

Do any of the DUchemonkeys know that Maxine "Super Genius" Waters pays her kid close to $200,000 out of campaign funds (donations) for being her kid?

Also, the democrats sure have a 99 to 1 advantage on their politicians being in federal prison. Just sayin.

Being  a sociopath, a narcissist, and ethically challenged is the bare requirements to get in the democrat party elite.

Now throw in some rape, pedophilia, larceny, perjury, and rape (democrats like rape) and you got some resume enhancers that get you to the big time federal level of shitbags called democrats.

Better vetting? She was in the House for over 20 years, IIRC. Who does the Ds' vetting, a dumb, deaf, and blind banana slug?! And in the end, it was FL D voters who cleansed the House of her sorry corrupt .......

One note of cynicism ... Brown is no longer in the House. I don't know whether her replacement is a D or and R, but I think DU-folk would be singing a different - or much muted - tune, were she still a House member.

It is Republicans that clean house (sometimes too quickly) when one of ours can't meet the high bar we set.  You dims don't worry too much because you have no moral bar at all.

I'm admittedly surprised that they're reacting positively to this. Usually when something like this happens to a Dem politician, the DUmmies insist he or she was an innocent victim framed by evil Republicans to silence them about some fiendish act the Repubs were doing.
