I'm glad Comey was fired.

By all accounts I'm reading and listening to, this firing is extremely public and horribly embarrassing.

After what he did to Hillary Clinton, dragging her name through the mud and shaming Huma Abedin after both had been through hell, this is well-earned karma coming his way.

I don't care about the reasons. I see this as a plus for our side. Sen. Schumer smells blood in the water and he was out swiftly with a strong statement, personally delivered. The Deputy AG needs to appoint a special prosecutor or Democrats (Sen. Blumenthal) will introduce legislation to provide for an independent counsel.

Comey is a loathsome individual who lied about Hillary and about Huma forwarding classified emails:

Quote
Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee last week that longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin forwarded “hundreds and thousands” of Clinton’s emails to her then-husband, former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.), to print out for Clinton while she was secretary of State.

In fact, the bureau said in a letter sent to the Senate panel Tuesday that only a handful of the 49,000 relevant emails it uncovered on Weiner’s laptop had been forwarded manually. Most of the emails got onto the computer as a result of backups of her Blackberry.

http://thehill.com/policy/national-security/332608-fbi-corrects-comey-testimony

This moron knew the Russians were hacking the DNC, yet sat on his a$$ while we were infiltrated:

In a surprising move, Comey admitted that the FBI should have tried much harder to let the Democratic National Committee know about the Russian hacks that resulted in the release of damaging information on Wikileaks.

Instead of actually contacting the DNC, the bureau reached out to a third party to warn them of the hacks. The FBI contacted the contractor responsible for the DNC’s computer systems, but the technician they spoke to apparently thought it was a prank call. So for weeks, nothing was done about the matter at all because he didn’t really believe it was the FBI who had called him.

On Monday, Comey made the shocking announcement that a whopping seven months passed before anybody bothered to let the DNC know that Russia had hacked them. Seven months. That is downright astounding. Comey then said that if he had it to do all over again, he would have tried harder to make sure the DNC was informed much earlier.

F him. We have Trump because of his intentional actions. He deserves the ultimate humiliation. Our salvation will be a self-serving Congress, including Republicans out to save themselves from the taint of being the Party of Russia, as well as career federal public servants with integrity and a sense of patriotism.

If that sort of thing matters to you.

31. The timing suggests that the reason was to stop the investigation

If it was tuly for closing the Clinton investigation the way he did, or the way he announced the reopening of that investigation as claimed, why would the firing take place now, in May?

The Administration is trying to derail the Russia investigation -- simple as that.

36. I wanted him fired on October 29, 2016

I did not want him fired now, we may well end up with someone worse.

This move may well cost Repubs the Congress next year no matter what tRump does.

This move by tRump is pure fascism.

37. We wanted Clinton to fire him, had she been elected. Then, wanted Obama to can him.

Trump's reasons are probably different, but I don't think Comey's dismissal will make much difference in any investigations. There are plenty of people looking into the Trump Admin, and the Trump family keeps pushing the line. They'll get caught.

40. So Hoyt do you really believe that Trump's replacement will continue the investigation in an unbias way?

As for plenty of people looking into the Trump administration, trump is slowly replacing all those people.

The only hope we have is that there are some republicans in congress who will do what is right thing, and that there are agents in the FBI who will see that the information isn't destroyed

Yeah, I wondered when I first read that.

It doesn't seem like the sort of comment anybody would make--much less even think of--unless it's something that's happened to one before.

DUmmies have had such a love/hate relationship with Comey for so long.  If it benefits their causes, we love him!  If not, he must be a Russian tool & partisan.

What, the agent was able to keep his finger off the trigger while in a civilian home pointing a ****ing MP5 at a child? That's about the only right thing I see in that picture. Notice the agent behind him did not keep his booger hook off the bang switch.

I you think about the picture for a moment - the fact that the picture exist, not the details (which are significant) - it tells you a lot.

* That a camera (wo)man was among the first into the room tells you the picture was taken for publication in the MSM, not for evidence.

* That a camera (wo)man was among the first into the room tells you the raid organizer knew in advance that the weapons were not needed.

Obviously it what SVPete says is correct about the cameraman in the room. However my point is how many conservative were all pissing and moaning about sending the boy home. The USA does not own people and minors belong with their parents if those parent want them back.
