I'm trying to remember a years ago, long gone, DU poster.

It's MO was stream of consciousness posting, everything it ever posted would just wander wherever its mind took it.

I think it was a dude.

Do you sorta remember what I'm talking about?

Any clue would help, it's kind of an earworm now.

That describes a lot of them although the first that came to mind was random thoughts of beer and travel money fame.

I remember that guy but not his name, it wasn't OMC though.  OMC was like SidDithers, often injecting very-unwelcome rational thought into their discussions.

Curiosity made me google the phrase, and I hit on "I am owed beer and travel money and many experiences" which was DUmmie RandomThoughts.

I liked OMC. I also liked Old Lefty Lawyer but she either quit the insanity or got a pizza for disputing Fitzmas and 24 business hours. There were a few lone sane voices after Pitt took the Rove shit. They all got granite or left in disgust.

Been trying to place a poster with the description you gave and the closest one I can come up with was a primitive named "mopaul" who later took on the name "philosophater" or something like that.

DainBramaged also had similar traits.

Actually, OLL/La Tangerine Bamba (knew her online, but not as well as franksolich did) committed suicide by an overdose of prescription pills back in 2009:
