Most of the DUmmies believe any kind of criticism of Muslims for any reason, from terrorism to child molestation to FGM, is a sign of Islamophobia if not flat- out racism. They'll be of the philosophy that "It's a respected tradition in their wonderful, diverse culture. Who are we to try and force our narrow Western view of morality on those good people?"
It calls to mind Sir Charles Napier banning the practice of suttee (Old Indian funerary practice in which, when a married man dies, his widow is burned alive with him on his funeral pyre) after the British took control of India. Some locals protested this, claiming that suttee was a time- honored custom among their people. Sir Napier responded, "You say it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. Where I come from, we also have a custom; Whenever men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks, and we hang them. Build your pyre; My carpenters will build a gallows beside it. If you wish, you may observe your custom, but then we will observe ours."
