Kaine: Putin bent to Obama’s will

It was a bad crisis for the world. It required tough words but also a smart approach to call on the international community to step in. And I’m very, very happy that the Senator’s request for a ceasefire has been complied with by President Medvedev.

Hot Air includes a response from Tim Pawlenty.

I'm sure that such absurd hubris brought a wry smile to Vlad's lips.

Are you guys beginning to see what a complete moron Tim Kaine is ?
The sad part is, he actually believes this.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

I can't stand Kaine. He reminds me of a used car salesman. (Sorry Mia! I know you work in the auto industry. I'm talking cheesy Joe's Used Cars here)

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

whats so funny is that BHO changed his message f 'lets talk and diplomatisize with the UN to y'all need to ceasefire (which still didn't catch up to even Bush's y'all got to quit this shit !) and wasn't close to McC's stop it and get the **** out now.

this is our textbook living example of what we can expect outta the kid, he aint got it and is years away from knowing that he doesn't know what he doesn't know.

the kid is a trainwreck and America needs to hope off the O-xpress post haste.

Lieberman blasts Obama on Georgia

TEANECK, NJ — During his introductory remarks at a McCain Garden State fundraiser tonight Sen. Joe Lieberman ripped Barack Obama for exhibiting “inexperience” when it comes to the conflict in Georgia.

“The last few days, four or five days, we’ve seen one of the most unexpected crises in the world as the Russians moved into Georgia as aggressors. And if you read the statements from the beginning, Senator McCain and Senator Obama, one had kind of moral neutrality to it that comes I think from inexperience,” Lieberman said. “The other, Senator McCain, was strong and clear and principled and put America where America always wants to be.”

Lieberman was referring to Obama’s first statement about the conflict Friday in which the IL Senator called on both the Russians and Georgians to “show restraint.”

“I strongly condemn the outbreak of violence in Georgia, and urge an immediate end to armed conflict. Now is the time for Georgia and Russia to show restraint, and to avoid an escalation to full scale war. Georgia’s territorial integrity must be respected,” Obama said in a written statement. “All sides should enter into direct talks on behalf of stability in Georgia, and the United States, the United Nations Security Council, and the international community should fully support a peaceful resolution to this crisis.”

The Lieberman criticism, which echoed his remarks in Pennsylvania earlier today, is noteworthy because McCain has not made Georgia political issue and even told Carl Carmeron today during his FNC interview that, “I respect Senator Obama’s views and I believe that it’s important that we act in a bipartisan fashion now. There’s no room for partisanship now.”

Once this ceases to be the ticking time bomb is currently is, the GOP needs to hammer BHO with his namby pamby response to this like crazy.  This is exactly the thing to demonstrate his inability to lead on the international stage.

not being able to condemn aggression is a real problem.  if I was mccain, I would play this up*.  what happens if he gets the "big chair"?  urging "restrain" in the face of slaughter is just weak.

*but he won't.  he already appears to be determined to play the "bipartisan card" with The BarackStar! about his position, or decided lack thereof, on the georgia/russia thing.

Ralph Peters comments on Tim Kaine's assertion that Obama stopped Russian-Georgian conflict
By Rizzuto

Wilkow: What do you make of Tim Kaine saying quote “It was a bad crisis for the world. It required tough words but also a smart approach to call on the international community to step in. And I’m very, very happy that the Senator’s request for a ceasefire has been complied with by President Medvedev.” You’ve got democrats who are claiming that the ceasefire happened because of Obama.

Peters: Obama has such an incredible ego problem at this moment. This guy didn’t even leave his Hawaiian vacation, and this is truly a world crisis…This guy stays on the beach, he issues a 90 second statement or a two minute statement on this thing. Nothing to do with what we said, what Sarkozy said, what world opinion said. No, the reason the Russians have stopped shooting was because Senator Obama decreed that the Russians would stop.

Listen, at this point I fully expect Senator Obama, on the way back from Hawaii to walk across the Pacific Ocean to California, and when he gets there before the Denver convention, he’ll probably take 10 or 15 minutes to find a cure for cancer, and also cure by the laying on of hands. The democrats are so utterly preposterous on issues like this.

Vladimir Putin will absolutely use Obamohammad...absolutely use him. The mind tricks don't work on Vlad. Won't work.
Obamohammad in office means a new Soviet Union.

And a new Soviet Union means China gets real nervous and the shit hits the fan.
