8. It was Saturday

and I was cleaning house while listening to CNN. When the announcement came I stood in my living room and screamed. I am not by nature a screamer, and as a result I developed an extremely sore throat. Actually missed work the following Monday due to the pain and inability to talk. Also, I was just too damned pissed (in the American sense) to focus on work and deal with my Bush supporting boss and co-workers.

That sounds so traumatic, except...December 12, 2000 was on a Tuesday, not a Saturday...

They, DUmmies,  do not handle disappointment well, do they?

It's like they have mental health problems or something. 

Anyone who would expend so much emotion over Al Gore should seek professional help.
