If she unmasked the names of members of Congress. She knows this is a crime and she needs to come in. She does not need to be fearful. If she did nothing wrong she need not be fearful.

    Two prominent Republican senators on Tuesday called for Congress to investigate former national security adviser Susan Rice for allegedly “unmasking” Team Trump officials who were “incidentally” caught on surveillance by US spy agencies.

    “I’m not going to prejudge here, but I think every American should know whether or not the national security adviser to President Obama was involved in unmasking Trump transition figures for political purposes,” Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC) told Fox News. “It should be easy to figure out  , and we will.”

    He then took a pointed shot at Rice over her much-mocked performance on national TV the Sunday after the attacks on the US compound in Benghazi, Libya, in which she repeatedly — and incorrectly — blamed an anti-Muslim video for what she called a spontaneous protest.

    “When it comes to Susan Rice, you need to verify, not trust,” Graham said.

On Tuesday former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer chimed in on the reports that Susan Rice unmasked President Trump and his associates

"If I were a reporter, I would want to know why Rice sought the unmasking," Fleischer said. "The FBI is investigating possible Trump collision, not the WH."

"How often did she ask? What reasons did she give? Did she share it?  With whom? Why? Fleischer suggested reporters ask Susan Rice. "Each request is tracked and catalogued in writing by the NSA. A procedure exists. The info would have been provided ONLY to her as the requester.  It is highly classified," Fleischer ended.

Sounds a little too earnest to me, and I note - with interest - that the staged interview put Mitchell on a higher pedestal than Rice. This is to give the impression that Mitchell is the tough interviewer (lobbing softball questions) and Rice is the beleaguered victim. Asswipes, both of them.

“She has no credibility,” Paronto said. “I don’t know how people continue to believe her.”

Paronto said it’s very suspect that Rice seems to have changed her story, as she had previously claimed she knew “nothing” about the intelligence reports.

“Double-talk, half-truths, that’s still lies,” Paronto said. “Within the veterans’ community, within Rangers, SEALs, Marines, there’s no such thing as a half-truth. It’s a lie [or] it’s not a lie.”

He said this is a golden opportunity for President Trump to crack down and “make an example” of a corrupt government bureaucrat.
