how are we all doing under 'king Donald'

we all know we'll get the worst of this

we at the bottom always do

so what can we do to help each other (nobody else will)?

what preparations can we do (little late now)

sorry i've been absent a lot, unfortunately life happened in the worst kind of ways

1. nice to see you back

I am going to ask my housemate for more money to help w/ the utilities. He is on SSDI too. He doesn't have it either, but the electric, gas heat, water and phone costs are going up. Hard times

Hard times?  Your post was dated less than twenty days after Big Cheeto assumed the throne of power,  I believe your anger is misdirected.

2. I'm no longer one of the Working Poor

since I lost my job in June 2015 but one of the ways I cut costs was to get a magic jack for telephone. It's not as good as regular telephone but it is okay and was only $40 per year rather than $40 per month.

DUmmie RP McStupid has stumbled on an idea- If Skins wants to get the "Working Poor" group hopping, they need to do a little bit of rebranding.  Since a DUmmie with a job is an anomaly on the Island, just changing the name to "Poor" would be a much better choice.

5. well if loosing onmees job disqualifies one for the group

then the group needs a new moderator

i lost my 'fulltime'
was told to train someone before 14 day vacation...came back after...called up and asked when i was scheduled...'oh we'll call you'
called again 2 days later 'we'll call you'
called again a week later 'we'll call you'
got a paycheck with 'final paycheck' stamped on it mailed to me

too bad about the $2500+ in bicycle parts i had stored IN the store

fortunately i can sorta get by on my second job

Loosing ones job does not disqualify you
it makes you just as welcome as always
you are a 'temporarily disadvantaged nonworking but soon working poor and hopefully not poor either'

magic jack is pretty cool

i have to maintain a cellphone w dataplan anyway so for me...no benefit to speak of
but i know it helps a lot of people

No back story to that job loss, none at all.   ::)

Obama promised energy costs would go up. He kept that promise.

OK, what's your secret? How do you contrive to stay unemployed for 22 months? Did Obama kill your industry? Did your job-killing union promise you'd be hired back soon? Did you get a degree in Ancient Indus Valley Mythology instead of a remunerative career path with opportunity? Rode out the full however long Unemployment bennies last and found out employers are wary of hiring people who stayed unemployed for over a year?

1. Retail is not exactly a high-skill remunerative career path. 2. Looks like the dude with 2 weeks' training did "your" job as well or better than you did after however many years at that job. In all that time you didn't find a way to make yourself more valuable? Chose not to? Your spelling and grammar suggests the latter.

After 8 years of Obama's Progressive Economic Paradise, how can you say that? Did Obama kill your industry or something like that? That's called keeping a campaign promise!

The DUmmy actually came up with a name for the group: "The Magic Jacks."

I think it is perfect!  Short, descriptive of their reliance on magical thinking, and of course is a cost-saving measure.

Do any DUmmys, donks, or the media (birm, birm) know that under Obama that child proverty reached record highs, that the black male unemployment record was set, and that food stamps shattered all records as a per capita basis.

Much like Maduro, Obama wasn't the guy to run socialism. You would thing with the universe's smartest man in history socialism would have worked but it didn't. But it can't be the basic ideology so our smarter betters will keep trying until it does.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Yeah.  Time to :ownit:  but you can't.  Disingenuous psychopathic children aren't wired that way.

Oh geez dummies!!!!  Back in 2005 when the unemployment rate was like 4.9 percent you people were all whining that you could not find a good job under the evil Bush.

Now you defend obumbles economic record over the last 8 years and you are STILL POOR.

Maybe the problem is not the government. Maybe the problem is staring at you back in the mirror.   :loser:

Excellent point. A decent, reliable, transportation-grade bike may cost as much as $200-$300. A stock of inner tubes, tires, and brake pads for normal maintenance would probably be less than $100. Obviously this "working poor" dude has purchased a high-end bike and high-end exotic parts. Or maybe he had a little side business and kept "his" spare parts in the store (maybe using the store premises and tools as well). I'm guessing all of the above, and those shady shenanigans may have contributed to losing his job.

Since DUmmies have no concept nor do they understand the value of a dollar, I suspect the "$2500 worth of parts" amounted to some hole-ridden inner tubes, some seats that were worn out by fat bitch feminists that he kept to sniff in his spare time, and a half-eaten bag of Cheetos.

What makes you guys think he/she "bought" those parts?
Probably stole them and was waiting for an opportunity to get them out of the store.

The boss is probably another Leftist bottomfeeder just like him.  If there was really $2500 worth of real, marketable bike parts at stake, he'd sink an additional $30 or so into it to take it to small claims court, which would most likely get the boss to give back any of the parts still around rather than waste a workday in court and lose a day's revenue.  So, the facts probably aren't anywhere near as this loser is making out.
