Hey, rabbis: Stop dividing us in the name of fighting hate

Our lives in America have been, for the most part, carefree regarding anti-Semitism. I often refer to American Jews as the luckiest Jews in history. With only occasional reminders of the ugliness that exists in the world, we live a coddled life here.

Of course, those reminders exist. But Jewish cohesiveness in the face of such threats has always been extremely important. So I must speak up now as I see a threat to that cohesiveness from, well . . . you.

Too many rabbis and other Jewish leaders are linking the threats against JCCs and other Jewish spaces — like the Brooklyn Jewish Children’s Museum — to President Trump. Sure, you stand against anti-Semitism, and that’s good. But you do it under the umbrella of groups like Get Organized Brooklyn, groups with openly political leftist aims. Your fight against anti-Semitism is part and parcel of your fight against the president. It shouldn’t be.

After all, if there were no Donald Trump, there would still be anti-Semitism ...

Think about it: The two people arrested so far for making bomb threats against Jewish centers have turned out to be nothing like we may have imagined they’d be. They’re not white supremacists from states you’d probably never visit. No, on Wednesday, an American-Israeli Jewish teenage citizen was arrested for making some of those threats. A few weeks ago, Juan Thompson, a Hispanic leftist writer, was charged with making some.

1.) While I'm glad this woman has woken up and spoken out, it's worse than sad that it took the "shock" of something so devastatingly counter-narrative - the arrest of the Israeli teenager for the hoax bomb threats - to waken her to the fact that the Trump-is-an-anti-Semite narrative has zero basis in facts. People who profess to be so founded on law and morality should have a better moral compass.

2.) I'm cynical enough to doubt many Trump-hating Jewish leader is going to pause and reflect, let alone drop their Trump-is-an-anti-Semite narrative. Neither will Gentile Trump-haters.

I posted the news story about the Israeli kid having done many of the bomb threats on 3 discussion forums and my FB page. All told, I got 3 or 4 responses or reactions. Maybe the Trump-is-an-anti-Semite narrative has faded, but, IMO, if it isn't crushed, and its advocates shamed, the narrative will return, as vile as ever.

I have to say, just glancing at this, I thought Ptarmy had written it.  I saw this:

"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

Chase her even when she's yours.
That's the only way you'll be assured to never lose her.

FWIW, at this point I'm aware of the following bomb threat and vandalism perpetrators having been caught this year:

* The ex-GF-stalking Hispanic (or black?) leftist writer from St. Louis that Karol Markowicz mentioned;

* The Israeli teen that Karol Markowicz mentioned;

* A black guy in Chandler, AZ who vandalized a Jewish family's lawn menorah;

* A Schenectady, NY Jewish man who vandalized his own home;

* A 13-year-old in Esperance, NY who vandalized several buildings with swastikas.

None of them fit the partisan MSM's white supremacist, neo-Nazi, narrative. BTW, I have not looked for stories of bomb threat callers and vandals being caught, I've simply found these in the course of my normal browsing for news - probably on Drudge and PJMedia.

To date, I think the only one who has gotten some brief national MSM coverage is the ex-GF-stalking leftist writer from St. Louis. IIRC, his ex-GF had moved to NYC, so his stalking went out of flyover country, and I don't think the national MSM immediately realized the damage covering him would do to their Trump-encourages-antisemitism narrative. Thus, the Chandler, Schenectady, and Esperance stories have only gotten local coverage, and, IMO, the Israeli teen probably won't get much national level US MSM coverage, either.

It's pretty pathetic when the partisan media is forced to try to pretzellate reality to conform to their narratives. Their pretzels have the obstinate habit of breaking.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

Ynetnews News - 78% of American Jews vote Obama

Exit polls: 78% of Jews voted for Obama - International - Jerusalem Post

Jewish voters appeared to discount rumors about Barack Obama’s heritage and acquaintances, delivering an overwhelming vote in favor of the president-elect.

Exit polls conducted nationwide show that about 78 percent of the Jewish vote was for Obama, up from the 74 percent John Kerry garnered in 2004. For months before the election, polls showed Obama had about 60 percent of the Jewish vote. Supporters say they reassured Jewish voters that Obama’s values are similar to theirs.
