It is LEGAL when the Attorney General asks US Attorneys General to resign....

There is a report floating around DU that Sessions is asking for resignation of some? all? Attorneys General.
and I have seen I have seen more than a few outraged responses in several threads.

This is normal at the start of a new term of a new party in the WH.

Quote
U.S. Attorneys hold a "political" office, and therefore they are considered to "serve at the pleasure of the President."
At the beginning of a new presidential administration, it is traditional for all 93 U.S. Attorneys to submit a letter of resignation. When a new President is from a different political party, almost all of the resignations will be eventually accepted.
The attorneys are then replaced by new political appointees, typically from the new President's party.

Some of us remember when Bush did it and all hell broke loose.
That is because he did it MID-TERM, he did it to only 8 of the US Attorney Generals and he was doing it for political reasons.

Interestingly, while President Obama replace the Attorneys when he came into office, there was one he did not replace,, here in Ala. and SHE was responsible for later having Don Siegleman arrested, and her husband was/is the head of republican organization in this state ( not the Republican party, but the over arching organization).
She left her office a few years after Obama's term.

The answer is yes. That is what normally happens. Even your link says it.

Barry replaced 92 of 93 AGs. AS PER YOU OWN OP...

Donald Eugene Siegelman (born February 24, 1946) is a former American Democratic Party politician who held numerous offices in Alabama. In 2006 Siegelman was convicted on Federal felony corruption charges and sentenced to seven years in Federal prison.[1]

Following Siegelman's convictions, more than 100 former attorneys general and officials, both Democratic and Republican, have contended that his prosecution was marred by prosecutorial misconduct.[2][3][4] On March 6, 2009, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld key bribery, conspiracy and obstruction counts against Siegelman and refused his request for a new trial. Siegelman is currently on supervised probation after being released from prison on February 8, 2017

1. Yes, quite normal.

(and that ala 'b' sure as hell SHOULD have been 'asked' to resign.)

What do you suppose that b stands for?  Only two days after we all celebrated International Women's Day.  Shameful, elleng.

All AG's serve at the pleasure of the President.

Think of it this way, primitives: You're alive right now because we're permitting you to be so.

It's no different, really.

If it's pathetic when a Prog-narrative is so stupid that a MSM outlet like the WashPost swiftly debunks it, a long-term DU-member debunking that stupid Prog-narrative is a whole, new, level of pathetic!

Preet Bharra has said that until he hears it from the President himself, he's not going.  President Trump, when he was still President-Elect Trump, told him that he was going to stay on.  Currently, Bharra has a senior Cuomo aide under investigation (longtime friends!), and several aides of NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio under another investigation.  The Minority Leader of the NYS Assembly has tweeted his support of Bharra; so has another Republican Assemblyman who was one of President Trump's biggest supporters in NYS.

FWIW, I'm a Preet supporter.  It's about the only thing Schmuck Schumer has ever done (putting his name forth for nomination) that I agree with.

Now that he's out, I'm hearing whispers of exactly what Bharra's motives could be.  Supposedly, he's lining up a run to go after Cuomo in a primary.

Fluke a Snooker (47 posts)
8. Whether it's legal or not is irrevelant

What IS relevant is the competency level of the attorneys, as well as their own legal shortcomings. When progressive leaders like Barack Obama hire attorneys, you can rest assured that every attorney hired strives for real justice for all people, not just shills for the conservative corporate elite, whom are the attorneys whom repressives like Bush and Trump hire. So yes, it SHOULD be no big deal when Obama fires these corrupt lawyers, while it should be shouted from the rooftops when Bush or Trump fires great lawyers like Preet Bharara and replaces them with their corrupt, anti-humanist stooges.

Looks like DG just got snookered by Flukie and his/her 47 posts.
