Twitter keeps making announcementa regarding new policies and standards to make Twitter a better and safer online environment yet when it comes to accounts calling for the assassination of President Trump and Vice President Pence, Twitter allows the accounts to stand for over one week and counting.

At the time you posted this that account had been suspended for at least 3 1/2 hours. But taking 5 or 6 days to do so? Kind of stretches the word "standards" in a partisan way.

CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -
The United States Secret Service is investigating threats made on Twitter against President Donald Trump that may have come from someone in Chandler, Arizona, Chandler Police officials said on Tuesday.

A spokesman for the Chandler Police Dept. said Chandler police contacted the Secret Service after receiving several reports of John Silva (@JohnnyKing663) posting menacing photographs and statements on social media.

Among the posts are references to killing the president and vice president, Mike Pence.

Update: Secret Service Investigating AZ Man Who Made Threats to Kill Trump on Twitter

12 News reported:

    The Chandler police said Tuesday that the Secret Service is investigating a threat against President Donald Trump that originated in Chandler.

    The reported threat was made in a tweet, police say, that featured two rifles and mentioned killing the president and vice president.

    Chandler PD thanked everyone who reported the threat and said the Secret Service is aware of the threats.

    Chandler police referred all questions to the Secret Service.
