About midway in this LA Times article:Some analysts have tied the upsurge of hate crimes to the polarizing election of Donald Trump as president, but Naomi Adler, head of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, said it dated to 2015.
“The rhetoric and disgusting speech began two years before the actual election at the beginning of the election season, but is not the whole explanation,” she said.
For whatever reason, Adler thinks there's some truth to the
Trump-Encourages-White-Supremacists narrative. The problem with even that is that Trump was regarded as a joke until very late 2015 or early 2016.
Speculating a lot, what did happen in 2015 that might trigger anti-Semitic actions?
* Antisemitism is almost gospel in some corners of the black community (remember the Crown Heights Riot? "Hymietown"?), and BLM was at its height in 2015.
* Over in Israel, Obama's 2015 attempt to fund and engineer the defeat of Benjamin Netanyahu failed miserably. Frustrated Progs? POed Muslims?
While the Lib/Prog D/MSM narrative is
Trump-Encourages-White-Supremacists reality is proving different and fatal to that narrative. This character's threats happened entirely during Trump's Administration(1/28-2/22). And Trump's FBI worked along with local authorities to identify and arrest him quickly (less than 35 days from the first threat).
The FCC also authorized the revealing of caller IDs for bomb threat calls, again under the Trump Administration (and not done by the BHO Administration throughout 2015 and 2016). If there really are any white supremacists "out there" who imagined Trump is even slightly sympathetic to them, that fantasy is being swiftly crushed.
UNSURPRISINGLY.
