An on-the-scenes report from my cousin at CPAC...

My cousin owns a popular talk radio station in Georgia. The usual right-wing line-up of Dennis Miller, Laura Ingraham, Rush, etc, plus he hosts his own morning program. Trumpsky's campaign sent one of the big Trumpsky tour buses to take his entire staff, plus guests, to the inauguration after cuz helped campaign for him in the state.

Anyway, he is broadcasting live from CPAP, and has been posting pics on FB. Of course, I had to rib him about the Russian flags, but he claimed he didn't see any of them. What he saw a lot of were blue Socialism Sucks t-shirts being worn by "all the young people." He was envious of the vendor who set up a booth in the arena and seemed to be making a killing off of them. Of course, more than a few of us joked that he should go interview some of those kids and see if they even know what Socialism is means.

The funniest part, though, is that he said many of the attendees were getting in his face, yelling "FAKE NEWS! YOU'RE FAKE NEWS!" at him, and virtually anyone wearing a press badge. This is actually pretty scary. Trumpsky has done a great job of getting these idiots to not believe anyone but him -- ironically, the very personification of "fake news."

Yikes.

Liberty students and faculty have attended CPAC in the past. "Bused in" is supposed to suggest some sort of astroturfing, but more likely Liberty organized a "caravan" - a large-scale carpool - as they have in the past. Also, Liberty's schools of law and government had booths, which would have included students and faculty. While I'm certain Liberty has some student who were homeschooled, I seriously doubt they are in the majority at Liberty. Perhaps "flygal" is confusing Liberty with Patrick Henry College, which probably is majority homeschoolers (PHC was founded by Home School Legal Defense Association). More likely, "flygal" is using "home schooled" as a bogey-icon to denote ignorant and brainwashed; real world homeschooled students are, well, more complex, and as a population far from ignorant.

Dennis Miller hasn't had a radio show in a couple years.

Nice bouncy, Texas Toast.

Yeah I miss him. I was in contention for the gold coin in 2010, got a mug instead. It was right after Obama got his peace prize and after he threw the first pitch at the MLB game like a weak 9 year old girl. I told him that the MLB were going to give Barry the Cy Young award. Still think I should have got that gold coin.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.
