Spicer: Trump Says Transgender Issues Not Federal DomainWhite House Press Secretary Sen Spicer on Tuesday said President Donald Trump believes transgender student protections is "
not something the federal government should be involved in," Politico reported.
And according to multiple reports, Trump has reportedly approved a plan for the Justice Department
to rescind guidance to schools that allow transgender students to use the bathroom with the gender they identify with.
"The president has maintained for a long time that
this is a states' rights issue and not one for the federal government," Spicer said during his Tuesday press briefing. "So, while we have further guidance coming out on this, I think that all you have to do is look at what the president's view has been for a long time, that
this is not something the federal government should be involved in, that this is a states' rights issue."
