McCain just systematically dismantled Donald Trump’s entire worldview

In case there was any doubt that this was about Trump. Here's what followed:

"[The founders of the Munich conference] would be alarmed by an increasing turn away from universal values and toward old ties of blood and race and sectarianism.”
“They would be alarmed by the hardening resentment we see towards immigrants and refugees and minority groups -- especially Muslims.”
“They would be alarmed by the growing inability -- and even unwillingness -- to separate truth from lies.”
"They would be alarmed that more and more of our fellow citizens seem to be flirting with authoritarianism and romanticizing it as our moral equivalent."

McCain reiterated the point in a different context during a Q&A after his speech, reminding the audience that Trump doesn’t wield supreme power and that the judiciary and (giggle) legislature are still there to assert their constitutional checks. The takeaway he’s going for is that Trumpism will blow over soon enough and that Europe should be patient and stick with America until the storm passes. We’ll see what Trump and Steve Bannon have to say about that. Exit question: Would this speech to a group of Europeans about how much better the GOP used to be have gone over better coming from someone who wasn’t one of the Iraq war’s most ardent, unbendable supporters?

McCain: ‘In Many Respects’ Trump Administration in ‘Disarray’

Friday MSNBC played a clip of Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) at the Munich Security Conference in Germany responding to the resignation of Michael Flynn as National Security Adviser by claiming it showed the administration of President Donald Trump is in “disarray.”

McCain said, “I think that the Flynn issue obviously is something that shows that in many respects this administration is in disarray and they’ve got a lot of work to do.”

You would think mccain (no more caps for him) would be old school enough to remember the adage "Politics stops at water's edge."

I guess not -- it has become cool to be a traitor.

The current state of affairs in Syria, which he enthusiastically helped create along with buttbuddy Graham, Clinton, and Obozo, is a standing refutation of HIS OWN Camelot-era worldview.  Stifle yerself, Johnnie.

I have spoken to a retired USArmy Sgt. Major who is a personal friend of one of the POWs with McCain in Vietnam.

I quote:  "McCain left for a year and came back speaking Russian."
