Hahnfeldt said the only location restrictions that would remain intact would be those imposed by federal law, which the state cannot control. Private property-owners could still choose to prohibit concealed guns.
More than 1.7 million people have concealed weapons permits in Florida, the most of any state.
Gun Free Zones have been a major failure....Funny I remember when I was a kid we rode around with our guns in a rack in the back window of our trucks.
I know I was gone from Florida for 20 years while I followed my hubby around while he was in the army. So I don't know when they took that right away from us.
Back to the article, I like the idea, because the majority of CC people are law abiding citizens if the weren't they wouldn't have gone to the trouble of getting the CCP.
And a lot of them are ex military so know how to handle themselves in an emergency.
