DUmbasses, ask yourselves:  When was the last time a democrat president succeeded a democrat president in a national election?

I can wait for your answer.  There is plenty of time to figure it out.

Does anyone else just randomly break down and laugh since Trump was inaugurated?

I'm trying to be strong. Especially for the DUmmies. Yet they still don't understand why I laugh. Sometimes I will be at the store and I'll just bust out laughing. They wonder "Why are you laughing, daddy?" and I don't know how to put it into words for them. I don't know how to tell them that they are finally going to have to grow up. A world where it's okay for the rest of us to laugh maniacally at moonbats.  And then I say "Who's your daddy? That's RIGHT!"

They thought we lived in a progressive country. They thought we were moving towards the Soviet Union, circa 1958. They elected Obama twice and now we have this.

My sides hurt from laughing so hard.....

This is what makes the primitive attitude that having gotten the White House, they expected they'd have it forever and ever, all the more un-understandable.

They never appeared to think it'd change hands at some time or another.

It's un-understandable because most primitives are ancient enough, antediluvian enough, to remember when that last happened.....at the same time remembering it was a very very long time ago and occurred under extraordinary circumstances.

And the time before that, that it happened, occurred under extraordinary circumstances too.

And the time before that, it happened under normal circumstances, but about a hundred years before that time.

If the primitives knew shit about history, they wouldn't have unrealistic expectations of their candidates and their party.

Seriously, think about it.

The most recent, the last, time a Democrat succeeded a Democrat president was in 1963, when Lyndon Johnson took over after John Kennedy was assassinated.

That was fifty-three years before this most-recent election.

And the time before that, that a Democrat succeeded a Democrat president was in 1945, when Harry Truman took over after Franklin Roosevelt died in his sleep.

Now, Demonic Underwear mentioned "the last time a Democrat president succeeded a Democrat president in a national election."

Geezuz gawd, one has to go clear way back to 1837 for that, when Martin van Buren won the presidency as his predecessor Andrew Jackson retired.

It seems it's almost never happened, that a Democrat succeeded another Democrat.

Oh but if the primitives would just let franksolich do their thinking for them, think how much better off they, and the rest of us, would be.

Geez! Toss in the condition,"without the previous D President dying in office," and the answer would be antebellum (I won't name the name, since many DU-folk would have to look up "antebellum" before knowing what time period they need to look up).

29. No I maintain my seething hatred for Trump voting relatives.

WOW. That is so wrong on so many levels. My take is none of those relatives even speak to the DUchebag. Well it is good to see the side that are the real and seething haters. The left just like it has always been.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

The last time a D followed a D by election, with no death of a President in the picture, was in 1856, when James Buchanan succeeded Franklin Pierce. Both were one-termers. If one were to add the further qualification of two Ds comprising 3 or more consecutive terms, then it would be Jackson (2 terms) and Van Buren (1 term).

As for the Rs, the most recent would be Reagan and G. H. W. Bush. Before them would be McKinley-TR-Taft, 1897-1913, though McKinley was assassinated in 1901. TR served out the remaining ~3 1/2 years of McKinley's second term, was elected in his own right in 1904, and then Taft served a term after TR.

Damn; I figured I probably missed one of 'em.

But all presidents between Jackson and Lincoln tend to be difficult for everybody to remember.

In the Therapist’s Office, Trump Becomes a Hot Topic
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-02-09/inside-the-daily-american-panic-attack

Quote
Anxiously checking the news? Obsessing over the president's latest tweet? Stressed about what's coming next?

Take a number. Experts in mental health are seeing high stress over the daily drumbeat of news—not surprisingly, especially among opponents of Donald Trump and people who feel targeted by the new administration. While many reported feeling anxious during the campaign season—more than half of Americans, on both sides of the aisle, were stressed—the feelings haven't subsided in the early days of the new administration, as some thought they might.

Millions of Trump supporters are, of course, jubilant. For others, the cascade of headlines can bring on "hypervigilance," the sense that "you have to stay on edge all the time, waiting for the next thing to drop," said Vaile Wright, director of research and special projects at the American Psychological Association.

I was incredibly disheartened and depressed when Trump won. But I still held out hope that the electoral college would stop him. Or the courts. How could they let such a blatantly racist fascist take the highest office in the world? I mean Hillary was supposed to win. She had a 95% chance in most of the polls. I just sometimes stop and think in the middle of the day how this happened and I break down.

I thought we lived in a progressive country. I thought we were moving towards progress. We elected Obama twice but how did we go from that to this?

I am at a loss for words.....

Oh buck up!  I couldn't stand Obama winning and would have been very upset had Hillary won but I wouldn't be sitting in my own tears.  Apparently the difference between political party members is one can't adjust to life changes and the other keeps moving forward.  The latter isn't you!

and I just get this image of you, a "man" in the store :lmao:
