Almost seven out 10 Democrats believe Islam “encourages violence… about the same as other religions,” according to a new CBS poll.

The trusting attitude towards Islam is revealed in the February 2017 poll follows 17 tumultuous years of attacks against Americans motivated or shaped by Islamic ideology throughout the United States—from the 9/11 atrocity to the Pulse nightclub attack in Florida committed by an observant, orthodox Muslim man from a Muslim family.

Merely one-in-seven Democrats believe that Islam is more violent than other religions, such as Christianity, Mormonism, Judaism, and Buddhism. One-in-ten Democrats believe that Islam is less violent that other religions, according to the poll of 1,019 adults, which was taken Feb. 1 and Feb. 2.

Christianity had its violence, but it outgrew it.

Islam is violent and remains so. The left identifies with Radical Islam because they share the same goals and hatred.

Islam is violent and remains so. The left identifies with Radical Islam because they share the same goals and hatred.

As one CC member's signature quote says, the problem of Medieval Christians going on Crusades has been solved - 7 or 8 centuries ago. Long ago on another discussion forum I asked some Lib to name the 20th, 19th, or 18th Century war in which Christianity vs. ______ or Catholics vs. Protestant was a central cause. (S)He didn't respond.

There's much for Libs, Progs, and Ds to like about Islam, if they ignore enough @#$% that should have them loathing Islam. Islam has been history's losers since the 17th Century, therefore they are "oppressed". Many/most Muslims hate Christianity and Christians (talk about an oppressed minority, within Muslim countries!), as many/most Libs, Progs, and Ds do. Many/most Muslims hate the US as it is as many/most Libs, Progs, and Ds do.
